A Glitch In Reality:

The blazing heat of July had claimed dominion over the Kantonian region. The sweltering heat was obnoxious to many, who sought refuge from the boiling atmosphere in the nearest pools and beaches. Or any other place that was well ventilated. As a result, the beaches of Kanto were jam-packed with vibrantly colored umbrellas and energetic people swimming in the oceans or relaxing under the sun or shade.

If people were not close to a beach, then many were in packed in ventilated shoppes which served delectable, frozen treats. If not that, then many were stuck within the confines of their home, waiting out the brutal heat from inside their ventilated abodes, sipping ice-cold glasses of lemonade and eating hearty slices of fruits.

However, there was one person who defied all notions of relaxing. This person was currently trekking through the burning sands of Cinnabar Island, combing through steep dunes and trudging through dangerous rock-walls, carved to sharpened points by the might of the ocean currents. The oppressive heat did nothing to help this adventurous lad, as the heat turned this pleasant island into a superheated nightmare.

Despite these horrid conditions, this interesting individual pressed onwards through the debilitating atmosphere. The identity of this individual was none other than Ash Ketchum. A world renowned Pokémon trainer, depending on who you asked. Throughout his years as a dedicated Pokémon trainer, Ash had made it his goal to travel the world, encountering new species of Pokémon, testing his strength in challenging gyms and attempting again and again in countless tournaments to become a Pokémon Master.

Ash had retreated back to his hometown, after failing to win the Lumiose Conference in Kalos. Ash had made it far into the competition, but ultimately lost to Alain. A challenger who's competitive spirt out-rivaled Ash's sheer determination. Still upset by the loss, Ash decided to travel back to his hometown to recuperate and surround himself with his family and closest friends.

That all changed once Ash heard a rumor. Apparently, there was a Pokémon which was stirring all sorts of trouble along the coastline of Cinnabar Island. It seemed to have the ability to rewrite the memories of Pokémon, change the weather, or restructure the genomes of Pokémon. That last one could have been entirely made up. Surely. Of course, no one actually knew who or what the culprit could be, but many believed it could have been a new, mysterious Pokémon.

Ash, allured by the idea of capturing a never-before seen species of Pokémon, ignored the dangers and took a ship to search for this mysterious Pokémon. Without anything on him, but his signature cap and get-up, Ash was currently searching for this new Pokémon.

"Ah! It sure is hot out today! Man.... it sucks that I came so close to winning that tournament..... but things are going to change big time if the rumors of this mysterious strong pokemon are true! I will catch it no matter what it takes with it I'm sure I'll never lose again!" Ash started to himself as he kept on search along the coast of cinnabar island

"Man where is this strange unidentified pokemon! I've been looking for hours! I wonder if all of those rumors were false!" Ash yelled clearly upset and frustrated that he had been searching for hours now and there was still no sign of said pokemon till ash noticed a strange shimmer

"H huh!? What was that!? I wonder if it is what I am looking for!?" Ash said outloud and steered the boat towards the strange shimmer unaware of how his life was going to drastically change

As the boat steered closer towards the strange shimmer, the glistening light immediately darted towards an opening in the rocky cliff-face of Cinnabar Island. A cave entrance! Perhaps the home of this mischievious Pokémon.

However, as the light moved, everything within the vicinity of its path was...distorted. A small patch of ocean, of which this Pokémon hovered over, turned into a sharpened stone. The rocky walls of the cave of which this anomalous creature fled into morphed into different kinds of terrain. Muddy earth, rotting logs, crumbling sandstone and any other hazardous or dangerous terrain was scattered along the cavern walls.

This had to have been the mysterious Pokémon! The one who could distort Pokémon! But it not only could distort living things, but could genuinely alter its surroundings! However, due to the rapid transfiguration of the landscape, the boat easily ran aground.

"Huh!??!!??!!? The rumors were true!? Well I guess I have no choice but go catch this rare powerful unknown pokemon!" Ash exclaimed in happy surprise and noticed that reality had warped around the area him and the boat

Ash had noticed that the boat was now aground and how the terrain was now warped and different but decided to jump out of the boat anyway and pursue the strange glimmer that he saw and entered the cave to give chase to the strange pokemon

Even though Ash decided to venture into the cave, doing so would be an extraordinary challenge. As the unknown Pokémon fled into the cavernous biome, everything grew distorted. The cavern walls had shifted from solid rock to mounds of dirt and sand, the cavern floor became a mess of vines, soaked and rotting logs and strangely various patches of carpet.

It was simple to figure out where this mysterious Pokémon had fled. All Ash had to do was follow the distortion of terrain. Which, again, was a patchwork of various biomes and terrain. But what seemed to be more alarming then the shifts in terrain, was the changes in the native Pokémon of the cavern.

A cluster of Geodudes, who must have been in the way of the beast, mutated. Some Geodudes were golden, others seemed to have grown multiple limbs, whilst others seemed to be conjoined to each other. Another confirmation of the beasts' seemingly endless abilities. The whole sight was an alarmingly confusing mess. Not something anyone would want to traverse through alone.

"Geez! What a incredible power this weird pokemon has I really need to catch up to it and catch the thing! Ugh such tough terrain it has made bug I will not give up this is my best shot at becoming a pokemon master I just know it so I must not give up!" Ash said as he continued to follow the distortion till he saw the weird geodude's

"Woah! This is so weird and freaky! This is so unnatural! It's so creepy I almost want to leave but I have come too far now to give up! I will come back for the golden geodude later though " Ash exclaimed as he once more continued onwards hoping he was almost to the mysterious weird pokemon he was seemingly prepared for this encounter or so he thought

As the aberrant Pokémon fled deeper into the cavernous expanse, the more distorted and disturbing the area became. As it emitted shrill, hacking screeches, the sides of buildings suddenly appeared, jutting out of the cavern walls. As the anomaly floated, arms made of water and mud hung from the ceiling, which unnervingly still moved, clawing and reaching for something.

As the creature trekked onwards throughout the immense hollow, the more distorted the area seemed. The unnatural terrain, the unnatural flowing of liquids and multi-headed Zubats and Diglets' with hundreds of eyes became more frequent. It was almost as if the fabric of time and space was, quite literally, bending by this anomaly's very own physical form.

As this Pokémon moved throughout the cavern, the more evident it became that this cave was its lair. Parts of the cave were covered in mismatched landscapes, giving the barren tunnels an odd patchwork design. These parts of the cave were nowhere near the trail of the anomalous Pokémon, suggesting that this creature had passed more than once through here before.

However, this made it difficult to accurately track the beast. Due to the many irregularities in the landscape and overall incredible speed of the strange creature, it would be extremely difficult to track this monstrosity should sight of the creature be broken.
