Guts, the Black Swordsman, sighed, as he took a sip from his canteen. Dragonslayer lay by his side. He glanced over at his traveling companions. Casca had recovered somewhat. She was able to speak, albeit basically, and could remember a fair bit. She had even, albeit clumsily, tried to sleep with Guts. Next were Luca and Nina, he didn´t know much about the two, except one was a brat, and the other was supposedly a witch. If she was, she was helping Casca heal, and that´s all that helped.

Ever since an incident where Casca had wandered off, and Guts had found her with a puddle under her, he had her be diapered at all times. While embarrassed, she understood why. It brought back memories of when she had a fever and her period, an akward moment for the both of them. A grim smile came to his face, happier days....

Luca brought another portion of the firewood and wiped some sweat from her forehead. It seemed like it'll be enough for them to cook something (well, if they'll find something to cook) and not to get cold untill morning. The young woman was not hapy with the fact that all the branches here she had to find and bring by herself. While the big man, Guts, needed some rest after acrrying that giant sword (she couldn't even imagine how he managed to walk with it), and this sword was what protected them from being raped and killed by bandits, and while Casca was a simple-minded girl who could hardly do any work (Luca prefered not to think what damaged her mind in such manner), their third companion, Nina, just didn't make any attempt to help. Luca saw Nina as a kind of younger sister (despite them being almost the same age) and felt an urge to protect her from th moment they met in the refugee camp, but she also felt really irritated with the blondie very often.

Casa, meanwhile, was humming some song under her breath (she couldn't remeber then and there she ahd haerd this melody, but it was pretty) and played with sticks nad stones, sitting on the grass... For now dark memories didn't haunt her, and taht made Casca a very cheerful persone - more cheerful and carefree then she ever was before the feat of the Eclipse, which now was hidden away from her memories... most of the time.

¨How are you holding up Casca?¨ Guts asked, gently placing a hand on her shoulder. Why few could consider the giant, angsty demon slayer gentle, and he had been shown very little gentleness throughout his life, Casca was one of the first people he cared about, who cared for him in return.

Nina, meanwhile, was kicking a stick. She regretted coming along. Her clothes was dirty, it was hard to bathe, and she had to travel with a musclebound psychopath, and a simple minded, blubbering girl

Casca turned to Guts, rubbing her cheek against his big callous hand. She didn't remeber much about Guts, but she knew she loved him and knew she could trust him, and that was more then enough for her now. "I'm good..." she answered. "Look, the stone's beautiful" Casa offered him a pebble.

"Don't you want to help?" Luca asked, looking straight at Nina with a rather stern expression. She gave the girl a chance to offer help by herself, but she was not going to wait for it any longer. Each of them should take some responsibility for the survivale of the group, and Nina really should understand it at this point. Yes, Luca felt like Nina's big sister - but sometimes she also felt like Nina was a really little sister...

Guts smiled, ¨Just like you.¨ he muttered. For a moment, he envisioned Casca as she had once been, powerful, radiant, and warm. She still was, deep down. ¨Do you, um, need a change?¨ he asked awkwardly. He never had to deal with kids much during his life.

¨Why should I?¨ Nina pouted. ¨You guys already got things covered, and I don´t trust them.¨ she gestured to Guts and Casca. ¨He´s super creepy, and she´s a weirdo.¨

Casca vlushed slightly and her smile turned wider and more bright. She didn't feel like the compliment was fair... but she liked it. A moment later she blushed in a bit different way. Casca already kind got the concept pf going potty, but rarely was able to hold it or realise it was coming soon enouh; and if her mind wandered, she could easily forget about such things (which is why she had a baby rash then she've met Luca and Nina). The girl rweached under her dress and touced her diaper. "Ugh... It's wet" she admitted with an awkward smile.

Luca sighed. "Well, you could start helpig earlier. But still there is plenty of worlk to do: you could search around for berries, roots and mushrooms for us to it, for evample, or bring some water from the spring nearly - I see Guts wil need one... And without him you wouldn;'t be alive, so watch your to tongue." Luca hoped taht Guts wouldn't take it personally and vandone them, but nontheless such an arrogant and disrespectful behaviour was hard to tolerate.

Guts chose to ignore Nina´s comment. He sighed, ¨All right, lay down.¨ he said. The gears in his metallic arm whirred as he lifted up her dress. He began to, as tenderly as he could, wipe her down. She was one of the few who actually gave a damn about him, so he would do the same for her. ¨Hey Luca, where´s Puck?¨ he asked. He realized he hadn´t seen the annoying little fairy in hours.

Nina huffed, and turned away. ¨I don´t wanna!¨ she crossed her arms, and turned away

Casca obediently lay onn her back, holdig her tanned legs in the air and shivering a bit as she was wiped. That was kind of emberrassing (Casca didnt like to show her nether regions in geeral, due to some event or events she actiovely refused to rememver), but with Guts she could tolerate this. He wouldn't do anything wrong to her...

Luca still couldn't fully get used to the existance of the elf, despite all the crasy things she saw recently, so she felt more comfortable then Puck was not around and didn't pay attention to his absence. "I think he flew away then we've stopped here... Looking for the food, I guess?" the young woman answered. But at this moment the elf appeared from the woods. he really was carrying some berries - not enough to feed any of the travelers, obviously, but as much as he could carry in his little hands.

Luca turned to Nina, now her expression claery said someone's-in-trouble. "Nina, you're acting like a spoiled child. Again. And from now on I will answer to this the same way I did in the cave." The woman suddenly approached to the blondie girl, tok a seat on the log and dragged Nina over her lap...

Nina´s eyes shot up, wide as dinner plates. She instinctivly covered her rump with both hands. ¨P-please Luca, there´s no need to do that.¨ she squeaked, trying to wiggle out of Luca´s grasp. ¨I-I´ll help out. I´ll get us a big fat boar we can roast!¨

Guts kept eye contact with her. Or, as much as one eye could. He often wondered why none of the magical beings they met, the few beneign ones, couldn´t regrow his eye, or give him some sort of replacement.

But Luca pinned her arm to her back, putting the stop to all the wiggling. "Too late. You act like a baby, and I don't see any other way to put you in a right mind. It worked very well the previous time!" She raised Nina's dirty old skirt - the poor girl didn't ahve any underwear, of course, so her round buttocks were ready for a roasting. And Luca landed the first firm smack immediately!

Casca blushed and bit her lip, but in a shy way, not showing any real discomfort. Her toes wiggled as her... her Guts, she didn't know who he was or how to call him, wiped and cleaned her butt and put a clean set of cloth on her.

"Tee-hee, while Puck is busy looking for a dinner, you expose your butts here!" the elf went bare naked all the time, of course, but his childish sence of humor couldn't ignore that opportunity. Puck left the berries he brought on Casca's palm and she smiled at him and ate them, enjoying the sweet taste.
