A Childhood Surprise Visit (Private for me and AJbestpony

It has been quite a bit of an interesting day for the Mane 6 and Sunset Shimmer. Especially since it's now Summer vacation and everybody was pretty much out for the school semester. Pinkie Pie was pretty much walking and doing her thing, and the next thing she does is to knock on the door to Twilight's house.

Twilight was doing some reading at this time. She sat on her couch with Spike laying on a pillow beside her. When she heard the knock, however, she looked up and called out "It's open; come on in!"

Pinkie Pie: Okay!


Pinkie Pie goes to open the door and then enters inside. She knew that Twilight had a "No shoes inside" policy and she goes to take off her shoes. She then goes to look for Twilight and sees her reading. It was a bit uncanny for her to not being able to do something especially since that it was Summer vacation.


Pinkie Pie: Whatcha doing, Twilight? It's Summer vacation...don't you wanna do something fun?

Twilight smiled and adjusted her glasses, saying "For me, reading IS fun, Pinkie. But there ARE other schools of thought, I suppose." Setting the book aside, she picked up Spike and rubbed him behind the ears. "What sort of fun do you have in mind, though?"

Pinkie Pie: Hmm...I was thinking we should get all of our friends to do a trip around Manehattan for Summer vacation. I mean, it's been a while since we made a trip like that. C'mon! I betcha we're going to have a fun time, just all 7 of us. Don't you wanna try and at least do something outside instead of staying inside?

Twilight thought on that for a moment, and then she shrugged and said "I suppose I could stand to get out of the house for a while. Or even out of town. I think it might be fun to take a trip, too. What do you think, Spike?"

Pinkie Pie: (Sees Spike agree with her) Sounds like he thinks so. I'll go get the others to know about it! Meet me at my house once you finish packing.



Pinkie Pie smiles as soon as she agrees to Twilight about the trip. Knowing her, she does love to have her plan come into action. She then goes right ahead and then looks to head off back to prepare her vacation suitcases. After Pinkie lets the others know about the vacation, she decides to wait for them to finally come prepared.

Applejack and Rarity are the first to arrive. The former has only brought two suitcases, whereas the latter - predictably - has brought half the contents of her bedroom. "Just think of the poor, unfortunate porters who will have to load up all that junk," Applejack remarked humorously.


"You'll thank me when you realize you forgot something of your own," Rarity insisted. She smiled and embraced Pinkie, as did Applejack.

Pinkie Pie: (Giggles) Well...guess you can't be TOO prepared, now can we? Then again...we are doing a Summer trip, so...it wouldn't hurt to give it a try to be fully prepared, Applejack. Now all we have to wait for the others to come meet up at my place. Don't worry...I'm sure they're probably taking their time.


Soon, came across Fluttershy and she had her two suitcases with her.


Fluttershy: Okay...umm...I have my suitcases ready.

"Hey, Fluttershy!" Applejack welcomed her warmly, embracing the timid girl. "Glad you could make it." She then looked around at those who were already assembled, and she said "Shouldn't be long before the others appear."

"Let us hope not," Rarity stated, "We wouldn't want to miss the train, after all."
