Rain began to hit hard as a figure ran through the rain, using a jacket to protect his head from the raindrops. He was in a white shirt with a long black undershirt. He wore baggy jeans and sneakers and looked to be about 14 years old. He had blond hair that was spikey and blue eyes. He stopped right at a door with a cover overhead as he caught his breath. He had a backpack on his back as well. The boy shivered, he was soaking wet from the rain.

This was Ventus. Why was he in the middle of a storm? His Step father, Xehanort had kicked him out of his house when he found out the boy had been having wetting problems. It started as bed wetting but also began to happen during the day. The man had caught the blond wrapping towels around his waist like a makeshift diaper. Angry, he told the boy to get out of his house. The blond only took the backpack with the things he valued the most, two plushies and a few photos.

He whimpered loudly as lightening cracked. He needed to find shelter quickly! His blue eyes scanned the place as he pressed against the door. He found out it was unlocked. He turned and looked. He bit his lip, Ven didn't want to seem like a criminal but there was nowhere else. Opening the door he headed inside.

Ven was surprised to see it was a Dojo of sorts, mainly for Kendo. He felt the plush matted floors. They were comfortable. Setting everything down, Ventus unzipped his bag and pulled a white Tiger plushie out of his bag and hugged it close and curled up on the floor. He began to whimper some more as he fell asleep, hoping no one would find him.

Eraqus had been walking home back to the Dojo, of which he owned, having recently dropped his stepson Terra off at the school for the Game Trip he was going on for a while. He had an umbrella over his head as he was walking.

He soon arrived back at the dojo and went up the steps, noticing the door was slightly ajar. He quietly walked inside and scanned the place, eventually noticing Ventus. Eraqus barely knew Ventus from what his son Terra had said about him, but the boy looked cold. And then he noticed the plushie he was hugging tightly.

Evidently something had happened with the boy and his family. He knelt down next to Ventus and gently prodded the boy awake, the boy was sopping wet, and Eraqus wondered if the boy was going to catch a fever or a flu or perhaps a cold.

While he had been asleep, Ven again wet himself, sadly because of the rain, the towels he was using were wet which also wound up getting the matted floors wet as well. He began to open his eyes. Turning on his side he saw a man looking at him in which he shot up, frightened.

"Wh-Who are you?" he sounded frightened, was he security!? He really shouldn't have entered this place, he was going to get sent to the police. He began to whimper.

"I... I promise I didn't steal anything! I was only looking for a place to keep out of the rain! Please don't call the cops" he begged hysterically as tears ran down his face.

"You must be Ventus, judging from your appearance... Terra has said a lot about you..." Eraqus said, not answering Ventus' initial question. "I'm Eraqus, Terra's... father" he said, sighing. The man's eye noticing the small puddle gathering below the boy. "What happened? Where are your parents or guardians?" Eraqus asked, and then he said as an afterthought "Furthermore, how did you get in?".

"..." he looked up at the man.

"You... Won't call the cops on me?" Ven asked as he still trembled. The questions seemed to upset him.

"I... Don't have a home... I was thrown out" Ven whimpered.

Eraqus sighed, and wrapped his arms around the boy, he was clearly afraid, and Eraqus didn't know if he could handle Ventus crying. "What for? Surely they wouldn't do that for no reason" Eraqus asked, rubbing the boy's back to soothe him.

"B-Because I keep having wetting accidents and they caught me using some towels..." Ven said in a small voice, he didn't know why, but he felt he could trust this man, maybe because he was very calm even though he broke into his building.

"I see..." Eraqus said, trying to think of something. He had seen the boy before today, and evidently Ventus' parents were intolerant to their son's temporary incontinence problem. "Hmm, well, if you want, you could stay here for a while, I guess. I might need to get some diapers for you, however, since you have been having accidents" Eraqus said, in a fatherly tone, noticing the feeling of trust that Ventus was radiating from him.

"I.. Actually asked my step dad to get me some but he refused and told me to suck it up..." Ven told him with a blush.

"And your door was unlocked... I'm really sorry about the mess" he told him.

"What was your step father's name?" Eraqus asked, inquiring as to who could be so heartless as to treat their ward like that. He had a few people in mind, one of them was Xehanort, an old rival and colleague of his.

"And it's okay, I'll clean it up latter. And evidently, Terra forgot to lock the door on the way out, like I told him to" Eraqus said, smiling as he gently picked the boy up, carrying the boy's bag with him.

They had a guest bedroom where he could stay in the meantime, but when the rain let up, which was soon, Eraqus would have to dash to the store to get some diapers for Ventus.
