It is interesting. Kinda hard to take care of both of them with one single caretaker but that's a neat challenge. So some background information like the crime or the way the former parents were would be nice and helpful.

Let me explain. Here in Germany you do your phD while being employed at the university. This employment includes research projects what do not have to be related to your thesis and teaching. So I am holding seminars, supervise practical student work, and supervise some students doing their bachelor's or master's thesis.

Thanks god I won't be the one to do the surgical work on the animals. Too many hours of training when you need to be active in teaching too.

Oh neat, I had a little chance to work with biologists recently. Even had an animal handling class for animal testing.

I am doing material science and engineering. Right now I am working in the field of tissue engineering, what is mostly implant development with biopolymers in my case.
