Oh, I see. Well, just keep on working at it. Like the old saing goes "Practice makes perfect". I wish you good luck at becoming published someday~!
I like red licorice (Twists and whips) and exotic flavored licorice like Pina Colada (See ->
https://www.candydirect.com/products...-colada-12-lbs) but I'm not a fan of Black licorice. It's too bitter for my taste. Even as a little kid, whenever I had a highly sugar coated
Chuckles jelly candy, I used to eat all of the other fruit flavored pieces and give or throw away the black licorice piece! Whenever I got a bag of jelly beans, I used to eat all the fruit flavored jelly beans and the vanilla flavored white ones but always left the black licorice jelly beans untouched (IMHO, candy companies should have made some bags with red licorice jelly beans instead of the black ones, so that peeps like me wouldn't have to waste some of the candy in the bag. Salty licorice? I've only heard of it on Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmer. It's something that Scandinavians enjoy. I've never tried it before but I would imagine it to be a salty, bitter taste (It's not really my "Cup of tea"). There's a YouTube video about some peeps' reactions to its taste ->
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5ftok3T1GA
I do enjoy other "Old fashioned" candy like crispy, crunchy, ribbon candy (See ->
https://www.ohnuts.com/buy.cfm/bulk-...e-thin-6ct-box) and hard root beer barrels (See ->
https://www.justcandy.com/products/n...iABEgIL2_D_BwE)! Black licorice must be an acquired taste like beer - Either you like it or you don't. I heard of a soda that tastes like black licorice called
Sarsaparilla (See
here about exact taste) but its hard to find or when you do find it, it's usually expensive (For soda). The same goes for an ice cream flavor called "
Tutti Frutti" (I heard that Baskin Robbins offers it on some occassions). It's not offered much or is hard to find probably because it costs too much to make real Tutti Frutti (The ingredients include candied fruits [Usually cherries, raisins and pineapples] and dried nuts) I never got to try either one. I'm not much of a beer drinker (I prefer mixed drinks and some hard liquor but only in moderation) but I enjoy the taste of Heineken, Corona and Sam Adams - The taste of those beers go well with beef and other meats.
