For most part I agree with you … Granted it once handled things with care or atleast left things to be not confirmed one way or the other... To me if the writers can't handle specific things atleast somewhat delicately when called for it then they shouldn't touch the matter no matter the medium of entertainment it is...

Hell speaking of MLP;FIM and handling matters I still am rather pissed at the fact when Rainbow Dash's parents was brought in the writers painted the matter of the toxic/indirectly abusive parent matter(Yes Dash's parents might not seem abusive to people but yes how they are written is quite literally the lesser known type of abusive parent/guardian types as its the other extreme of abuse) as Dash being completely in the wrong … When it was her parents fully in the wrong..

I may not have had parents like Dashs in any way like that but it pisses me off that the parents was painted in the right and Dash in the wrong as the message that can send to kids and others who have parents like that .. As it might make them think is okay and normal to have parents like that... Aswell as make the parents believe they are right...

Oh and Chancellor Neighsay the raging racist pony that's head of the school system ironically in the season 8 premier , the writers literally had written the students and the parents/guardians in such a way, do to how the writers had written them with the students wrecking things and then the adults threatening violence and the like on each other and the ponies, thus justified the guys viewpoint that despite him wrong to be racist he actually was painted in the right because of the actions the other beings had taken and he was getting bad mouthed over the matter despite most everything both the viewers have seen so far and most ponies have seen too seemed to have him be correct... Which was a bad way to handle the racist matter as it basically painted the matter as the racist was more or less right and the others getting onto him was in the wrong...

Yeah ,that's why I don't see why they made her racist to dragons... Because how they made that in the cartoon canon its like a worse version of some racist person going '' Oh that person of X race is fine hes a exception as hes not like the majority of them''

Though as I said you can have racist characters in kids shows if the matter is handled with care .. Even good characters you can have them have racist views if its handled with proper care...But MLP;fim doesn't handle it with care at all..

Hell I could name cartoons from the 80's that actually handled the subject way better then MLP;FIM heck G1 even handled it better and varies other cartoons going on throwout the years

True .. I kinda wonder what with through the staffs heads for Main Characters to be like that in a kids show... Sure characters atleast good ones(Good as in Written good not as in they have to be the good guys) in general needs flaws but in something meant for kids I don't see why someone would make the good guys that stick around have racist views... True it can work if handled with care but its over all just treated as a joke or no big deal in MLP;FIM …I can kinda let the Changing matter slide with Twilight given everything that happened during the wedding as atleast she'd have a decent reason to have that viewpoint in her skull .. But dragons not so much
