A ten year old petite girl with long dark brown hair, light brown eyes, and light brown skin sat in her older brother's car waiting to be dropped off at her Auntie's house. Her brother packed all her belongings that were given to her by her late father, in the trunk in a singular bin. It had been a year since their beloved father passed, and she was sent to live with her mom.

She didn't like mom's house, everything was dirty and she was always hungry. Her mommy never washed her clothes, when she went potty in them, and forced her to wear dirty clothes to school.

Her older brother, Kyle found out the way his sister was being treated, and drove home from college to have Nicole removed from the custody of their mother.

He figured the best relative to take care of his special needs sister, was their paternal aunt who worked with children with autism, like her. Besides Kyle had a full plate, between working, going to school and raising his four year old brother, Rubian.

Nicole saw her dad's ghost and waved at him. He waved back and disappeared. About an hour later, they arrived at their aunt's house. Kyle let Nicole out of the car and got her bin of belongings to bring inside the house. Kyle and her talked for a little bit, and said his goodbyes to them. He drove away.

Aunt Sasha had unfortunately been out of state and unable to attend her brother's funeral. Moreover she had been more than a little worried about leaving her niece in the care of her sister in law. The two of them had never gotten along and she had serious reservations about the woman's ability to raise a child alone, let alone one with extra needs. As such she was more than happy to take her in once she was contacted by Kyle about Nicole's situation. As a single woman herself, she was prone to loneliness and found the idea of having someone else around a welcome change. Also she knew it was what her brother would have wanted her to do.

"Hello sweetie," she coos to the girl walking over and kneeling down to hug her. "Welcome. I'm very happy to have you here."

“Here let me show you around,” Sasha says standing up and guiding her into the house, gently holding the small girl’s hand. The first room is a sitting room complete with multiple chairs and a big couch as well as a TV. There’s also a corner with several books and a box of toys. “Here’s the living room. You can always come in here to play or watch tv,” she says pointing things out to the girl. Naturally she’d already installed some parental blocks on her cable service and gotten some child friendly streaming services. Also her set up had very precise volume and image controls to avoid sensory overload for her niece or any of her patients when they came over.

Nicole looked around a little overwhelmed by all the things to play with. Nicole started to wet her pants, and completely soaked her underwear. She started to sniffle. Nicole cried since she was so uncomfortable.

"And over here is...hm," Sasha is snapped out of her tour by the sound of Nicole sniffling. "Oh sweetie what's," she starts to ask then notices the large wet spot on the girl's pants. "Oh Nicole honey," she leans down and scoops her up into a hug, patting her back. "There, there it's okay." Fortunately, Kyle had already warned Sasha that Nicole was having problems with holding it, though he'd said he wasn't entirely sure how serious it was. Sasha did have experience with children her age and older with such struggles and she'd already prepared some supplies to assist her niece.

"Sh, sh, shhhh," Sasha coos, rocking the girl and carrying her upstairs. "I guess now is as good a time as any to show you your room." She says, opening a door at the top of the stairs. The bedroom on the other side is fully equipped, but lacks any personal decoration, Sasha having wanted to save that for when Nicole arrived. "Now sweetie," Sasha says as she strokes Nicole's hair. "I know you've been having problems and that's okay. But I was thinking we could try a little something to help you while you're adjusting to living here and everything else." At this point it becomes clear that Sasha is carrying her towards a fully stocked changing table that is sized for someone like Nicole.

Nicole calmed down and rocked a tiny bit to self soothe. Nicole noticed herself being carried to the other part of the house and onto a changing table.

Nicole: I notta baby!

"I know you aren't sweetie," Sasha coos as she continues to rock her and pat her back. "But diapers aren't just for babies. They're for anyone who needs them. Like a delicate little girl like you who's struggling with a lot of things at once and needs a little extra help while she adjusts. Auntie just wants you to be clean and comfortable, precious. Will you do this for me please?"
