During the late night, the young demoness will need to find a place to hide out before the sun rises. Daybreak will be in a matter of a few hours. While, luckily no combat has been brought to the mainland, many men left to fight in the war. That alone would not be so bad, if not for a horrible famine and drought occurring the following year. Then a sickness is spreading. The women and children of the village are not doing so well. During the night only the sound of crickets and insects can be heard. However, there is a rumbling. A banging even, it looks like someone is trying to break a hole through a fence. The figure is cloaked, but small. Their arms look quite skinny.

(What the-?) Nezuko thought as she heard the noise. This pace looked so desolate, what could be living here? She slowly walked up to it and destroyed the fence easily.

The figure let out a high pitched squeal. "AHHHHHHHH!" They turn and peak up at the woman looking at them with a pair of bright pink eyes. The figure is actually a young girl. She looks no older than nine years of age. Her long black hair was in shambles, and she was very dirty. "Uh...uh....th-thank you." She says softly before going through the hole Nezuko made. Behind that hole was one of the only farms that the famine hasn't destroyed. They run over and tries to get some radishes, and turnips. She looked with eyes of pure hunger. Her mouth drooling, and she was laser focused. So focused, that she doesn't notice a large figure sneaking up behind her. "Ohhhh what do we have here?" A distorted voice asks as a shadow casts over the young girl. She turns around to see a large demon holding a scythe. "Another stray has come to my farm. Not knowing, it's really a slaughter house." The demon says chuckling. The girl yelps and backs away stumbling back. She falls and drops the vegetables she was holding. "Oooh? Stealing my produce?" The demon taunts. "I-I'm sorry. I-I was just so hungry. Please! I'll never do this again!" She pleads for her life.

The demon watched the woman get taunted angrily and growled. She clenched her fist as blood come from. The grin reaper esque demon can still be a good guy, should just be from other candies.

The young girl dropped everything she had and starts running for her life. "Help! Help!" She yells out as she tries escaping. "It is time for the harvest." The farmer like demon states as he begins stalking the girl. With each step he takes the rooted vegetables grow back, or die. He points ahead of the girl and a wall of trees grow from the ground and their roots surround her. She looks panicked as her exit is cut off. She turns back to see the demon approaching. "Humans are no different than cattle. Let them graze, and fill their stomachs a little. Once it is time for the slaughter, they act ungrateful for what you have given them." He states as he gets closer. The girl starts trying to climb the tree.

Nezuko came in and punched the demon in the face before kicking it. She growled loudly at it before heading over to the girl. She reached out her hand in an offer for her to take it. She looked at her as she tilted her head.

The girl looked in shock as the demon was sent flying by the the older girl. She looks down to see the hand offered and gasped as she saw claws. "Why, why do you trespass onto my lands. These humans of this village are my cattle. They eat when I say they eat. They frolic when I say they frolic. They die when I say they die." The girl looked terrified at the demon that was blatantly trying kill her. It was definitely a pick your poison situation. She gets behind the female demon and shivers. She looks around for a way out.

Nezuko stood in front of the girl. She was adamant that the grim reaper demon wouldn’t pass. Slowly, she picked the girl up and placed her on her back like Tanjiro did with her long ago. She looked to her with a look that said. ‘I’ve got you.’

The girl was baffled and confused as they make a break for it. The demon comes in and swipes at them, narrowly missing the two girls. They managed to break free, and get out. "My fresh meal escapes for now. The moon will be setting soon, but I will return to claim my property." They say as they go and hide away as dawn breaks. The girl and Nezukonm scramble across the village. "There! Over there!" He points over at a house.
