If the Simurgh doesn't take them God knows where, they go full into the kinks and travel from city to city, trying to get taken by her or one of her siblings when they show up." She leaned in, pushing his face a little so she was looking him in the eye. "They're dangerous, they lose themselves, and they start out sounding a lot like what you just said. Try to keep ahold of yourself, because if you go too far, there's never been a case of people coming back, even if the government doesn't just quarentine the city to stop the Simurgh's effects from spreading."

With that, she looks up. Aside from the Lullaby, it's almost silent. "This... this is taking too long. How long have we been in here? five minutes? It doesn't take this long to hurt them, and even if we didn't..." she mouthed something, then summoned a pair of glittery binoculars. "I'm going to check something out. Stay here, don't open that box, and don't do anything stupid or I will knock you senseless." With that, she glided up to a higher part of the ship and opened a hatch, climbing out to take a look.

Pssh what was she talking about? The lullaby was fine. I'm not going sex crazy or anything it's just calming and soothing. Kind of makes me wish i had something to sooth me. I sit down criss cross applesauce like a good boy for the cape lady and just wait for something to happen I'm getting real board and fussy as i rock back and forth and even begin to suck my thumb. I look to the drawer of diapers and get currious. I sneak over looking at the cape to make sure she doesn't see and go and take one. I grab it and walk out of the room. The diaper looks ok but.......something's missing. Like, it wouldn't feel right if i just put it on like someone should put on me.......as they smile at me.....coo to me.....and hold me afterwards

Star looked through the binoculars, looking for any sign of the fight that was at the core of the city, and trying to parse her own thoughts. It was an Exposer. More than that, it was The Simurgh, Ziz, the Heartless Scribe and Master of the Lullaby. She was a precog of the highest order, causing chain reactions of events in human history that stretched on for years. She built Tinker weapons and technology that outstripped all but the world's greatest Tinker, and she used all of these skills and her lullaby to great effect.

So why wasn't Star effected? Was it part of some greater plan? Would it bring suspicion on her for acting unaffected? Was it because, on some level, she was already apparently fucked up enough?

Was it because, for what the Simurgh was planning, it didn't really matter?

She shivered at the thought, and called back down to her extradimensional tagalong. "Can't make anything out yet. They must be further inland or something!"

I jump when i hear her come around and put the diaper in my shirt. "Huh? Oh uh that's a shame i guess. So um what do we do now?" I ask trying to not look suspicious. My heart beats but i calm down as i feel the sounds of the lullaby coming. I love it. I start to smile feeling like i would be picked up and carried away at any moment.

She popped back into the room. "Well, as a hero here, I say we wait for help. As someone who doesn't want to be put under a glass dome or something, I think we should try and book it to the border as fast as possible." She nodded behind her. "The longer we're here, the more... intense... the effects can get, and if we wait around long enough for them to get a full quarantine going, we're probably going to be stuck here forever. That and..." The lullaby suddenly picked up in volume, the notes changing ever so slightly. Starflight looked up, panic quickly spreading across her face. "Nonononononono! I am not going to be some kind of pet to the fucking kink angel!" She looks around, desperately hoping for a miracle that very clearly isn't there.

Such....music......such beautiful beautiful music.....i must go to it. I take a small step forward as i smile hearing the sweet soothing lullaby more. It enters my ears and it feels liks it enchants my soul. I need more i must let it take hold. There's so much to give all to me. I reach my hand out for it. I want to grab it. No, i want it to grab me.
