Let's talk about magical School affiliations. i couldn't come up with a better title
I keep playing games or watching shows and movies where the player/main character can be put into one of several factions or dorms.
Harry Potter/any hogwarts related game or film with the Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw Houses.
Twisted Wonderland with the dorms, Heartslabyul, Savannaclaw, Octavinelle, Scarabia, Pomefiore, Ignihyde, Diasomnia and Later Ramshackle House
The Owl House with the Tracks/Coven system, Abomination, Bard, Beastkeeping, Potion, Plant, Illusion, Healing, Oracle, and Construction, plus Multitrack/Empereor's Coven/Bad Girl Coven i suppose
And Kingdom Hearts Union X with the Foreteller Factions, Vulpes, Ursus, Unicornis, Leopardus, and Anguis.
Am i the only one wondering why the dorm/allignment systems are so fascinating? And yes i do consider the Daybreak Town in KHX a glorified school in which the campus takes up an entire town. Also if you had to guess based on what we gleamed from the foretellerss personalities and battle styles in the backcover film? What do you think their respective proficiencies are because it bugs the heck out of me that it mattered not what one you chose. In terms of the limited combat.
So assuming it ecer got a second chance as a proper explorative and free roaming mmo style game where you have proper stats aside from just attack defense and HP. Which faction would show stronger proficiency in which stat?
I ask because i can see all of these schools as DnD style starting points where your dorm/house/faction/track determines your strengths when exploring the world within its universe. Example: being a Gryffindor student enhances the effectiveness of defensive spells or spells that can cause indirect forms of damage and when attending Transfiguration classes which are often taught by former Gryffindors will double the rate of that Stat's growth since Gryffindors are about bravery which often in the franchise is depicted by a shield. As opposed to Hufflepuffs who have Higher endurance (overall health) or Ravenclaws with their intelligence (offensive magic) and Slytherins and their resourcefulness (utility items such as potions, zonko prank toys, weaponized magical plants or animals are doubley effective)
It would be cool to form dungeons and dragon style or mmorpgs around this idea for all of these concepts and learn how others would build their student accordingly.
I hope i am making sense its 4am atm so i dunno if im just too tired to properly convey my thoughts
