Orphan Twins (Private)

Jacks eyes shot open, and he jolted up in a cold sweat. He looked around the dark room, breathing quick and ragged. It was early still, only like 6, and not to mention it was pouring outside. The little boy laid back down, and sighed. He felt his brother sleeping in the bed next to him, and cuddled up against his twin, hugging him for comfort. Another bad dream. It had really become a habit of Jack's. Almost every time the poor kid slept he was plagued by them. The boy had chestnut brown hair, with green eyes, and was slightly smaller than average for a 6 year old. Not to mention the wet diaper between his legs, making him feel even littler! The boy whimpered a bit involuntary as thunder clapped outside, although there was little movement in the rest of the room to suggest any of the other kids had been woke by it.

Oliver was a brown hair and hazel eyed boy, the eye color was the only way people could tell him and his brother apart. Other than the fact that Oliver always had an orange pacifier with him, it was comfort item and without it, there was no way to get this kid to stop crying. He also wore diapers just like his brother, they both get mistaken as toddlers all the time. Oliver slept peacefully, quietly suckling on his orange pacifer and his tattler teddy in his arms. He cuddled close to his brother when he began to whimper.

Jack tried to sleep for a while. But he had this gross feeling in the pit of his stomach, and he was fearful to fall back asleep. Quietly, he scooted closer and rubbed his nose against his brother's, in a type of Eskimo kiss. "Oliver..." the boy whispered gently, hugging his brother. "I... I can't fall asleep." The boy admitted, usually very brave and proud. "I'm scared."

"Mmm..."He yawned and rubbed his eyes. "Why..."He asked his brother, still half asleep."Wanna hold Teddy?"He offered his teddy bear to his brother."Teddy always makes me feel better..."

"I... I think I'm okay." The kid said, sniffling a bit. "You can keep teddy." He said, trying to force a smile. "I had a bad dream I guess." He admitted, which would be no surprise to his brother. "Sorry about waking you up. I was just scared alone." He said.

He yawned, his pacifier falling out of his mouth."Maybe you should ask one of the adults to read you a story..."He stretched and snuggled his teddy.

(If only needed briefly, can we do it where when one of our characters interacts with an adult, the other plays it? If not then don't respond as the caretaker and I'll do it my next post )

Jack thought for a moment, and nodded. "Okay Ollie. Wait for me." He said. The boy climbed out of bed slowly, carrying his own stuffed dog and hugging it. The boy wore a pair of white socks, along with warm captain America pajama pants, and a matching long sleeve pajama shirt. The little boy padded slowly out into the hallway, where it was even darker. Shivering, he looked around desperately. He happened to just catch Mrs. Owens come out of the bathroom. She was a beautiful woman in her early twenties, and by far one of the nicest and funniest caretakers. Every time he or Oliver had gone to her at night, she always carried him back to bed and sat there, comforting one or both of the twins and reading a story when she was fast asleep. These good memories propelled Jack forward, and he wrapped his arms around her legs in a tight hug.

"Alright, all the children are in bed. Now I can sleep."Mrs. Owens yawned as she came out of the bathroom. She suddenly felt a weight on leg and arms wrapped toghtly around her. She looked down and saw the boy."Jack, do know what time it is?"She slowly leaned down and picked the boy up."Can't sleep?" She gave the boy's bottom a pat."Oh, I can see why."She smiled.

"Huh?" He said, confused for a moment. When the realization hit him, his cheeks turned bright red. "N-no." He stammered, embarrassed. "Not that. I had a bad dream and I was wondering if you could... just come in and sit with me until I fall asleep or read me a story or something..." it trailed off into a mumble, and he looked down, feeling ashamed of his far and hugging around her neck tightly.

"Of course, sweetie but let's change you first."Mrs. Owen took the boy to the changing room, where changing table were set up for those in diapers. She laid the boy down and remoed his pants then untaped the diaper."Let's get you nice and snug."She wiped him then taped on a fresh diaper."There you go!"
