Luz's Time In The Psych Ward (Private With Geeky Gabriella)

Luz woke up from her mentally foggy state. She hissed at herself when she realized her suicide attempt didn't kill her. Luz laid in a puddle of her own blood and urine. A few hours she stabbed herself with a sword that she found on the Boiling Isles. Stringbean had noticed her laying on the ground with her stab wound, so the Palisman sought help.

Eda saw StringBean fly frantically towards her. He turned into his staff form, as to guide her to Luz. Eda hopped on StringBean and had Owlbert rest on her shoulder. Eda carried a worried expression on her face, it had been hours since she saw Luz. With Luz's declining mental health, and her decision to stay in the Isles after her mother passed away, it was never a good sign that she'd wanted to be alone.

When she spotted Luz in the ruins of the Emperor's place, she gasped in horror. Eda hopped that Luz was still alive. As StringBean landed close to Luz, Eda got off of him and inspected Luz. She'd knew she'd made a mistake by not sending Luz to the Psych Ward sooner. Eda saw that Luz was still breathing, and let out a sigh of relief. Fortunately, Eda knew someone who could heal her, but she'd have to get Luz cleaned up and stop the bleeding first.

Eda pulled a first aid kit from her hair. She first cleaned the urine and blood off of Luz. Her clothes had to be changed later. Eda used a little bit of her remaining magic to heal the wound to the point where it stopped bleeding. Eda noticed the sword next to Luz and sobbed.

Luz slowly opened her eyes, with blurry vision to Eda healing her wound a bit and cleaning it out. Luz tried to move her body to stop Eda from rescuing her. This is when she wanted to die, and she'd hadn't even managed to get it right. This was the second time that Luz attempted suicide only for Stingbean and Eda to save her.

"Mama, is that you? Why are you healing me? I wanted to die, please just let me die to let the pain go away, mama. Please have mercy!! Let me goo!! I can't live like this anymore, I can't live anymore period. I have no family, except for you, King and Amity left," Luz softly cried.

Eda looked at her daughter with tears raining down her face. Eda didn't know what she'd do without her little ones. Luz had completely changed Eda's life and was her little light throughout the darkness that surrounded her. Eda gently carried Luz to her, cradling Luz in her arms. StringBean wrapped himself around Luz's arms so she couldn't do anything else to harm herself. Eda used the teleport spell, she'd learned from Luz and teleported to the best trauma healer on the Isles.

"Baby, that is it!! No more talking to yourself that way! I can't believe you'd tried this again, after you promised you wouldn't. This time you are going to be sent away for treatment, at a Psych Ward. I can't help heal your mind, my sweet baby girl. Please don't leave me yet. I need you Luz!" Eda said in between sobs.

"StringBean knock it off! Let my arms go! I want at least a little bodily autonomy. Stop wrapping yourself around me like I could break at any second!!" Luz screamed seemingly having a nervous breakdown.

Luz tried to struggle under StringBean's grasp on her arms, but was unable to move them at all whatsoever. Her lower half hurt too much to move, so there was no way of escaping, Eda. Luz felt herself be teleported, bathing in a warm light, to the sound of machines beeping and the smell of medical alcohol.

A healer ran up to Eda and Luz and quickly ran them into a room. The healer placed Luz on a gurney to travel there, Eda followed her close behind. The healer didn't ask any questioned as he healed up the wound, only leaving a large scar on her belly.

"So I am guessing this was another suicide attempt by Luz? By law we have to place her in a seventy-two hold at the Psych Ward while she is assessed," the healer said with a frown.

"Yes, I knew you'd have to do that. After the first attempt, it becomes an issue of safety for themselves and those around them. I would like to keep her in the Psych Ward for at least a week, maybe two," Eda said.

"May I ask, why her Palisman is gripping her arms like that? Is Luz in need of restraints to keep herself safe?" The healer questioned.

"Yes unfortunately, Luz tried to escape from my arms, leaving Stringbean no other choice. StringBean is a loyal and intelligent Palisman, he was the one who warned me about Luz. Without him, Luz would have not made it here," Eda said.

"Okay, what an amazing Palisman. StringBean will be allowed with Luz in the Psych Ward as a service animal, due to his intellect and loyalty. I will make sure to let the staff know that you would like for Luz to have a week to fortnight long stay," the healer said.

The healer signaled to StringBean to let go of Luz's arms. StringBean followed the man's gesture and let go. The healer placed some mittens on Luz to prevent her from hurting herself. He locked her feet to the gurney, with restraints that were attached to it. He handed Eda some paperwork to fill out.

Luz struggled against the restraints and eventually gave up. Luz sobbed loudly when she heard that she was going to be placed on a seventy two hour hold at the mental hospital. She hadn't wanted this, Luz had wanted to be dead. Luz missed her family so dearly, and felt like a burden to everyone that lived on the Boiling Isles. Luz hugged Stringbean tight. Completely unaware of the permanent damage she caused her body, Luz wet herself. Her urine soaked her already dirty pants and got on the bed.

The healer didn't even looked shocked at the wet bed that laid before him. He did a spell circle in the air, to do a scan of the area that Luz stabbed. As he suspected, there was permanent damage to her bladder, leaving the poor teen completely urinary incontinent. How he'd break it to a mentally unstable teen and a freaked out mother, he had no clue. Deciding to not explain and answer later, he took a teen diaper and changed her into it with a quick spell.



Eda gasped in surprise when the diaper was taped onto Luz. StringBean sensing what Luz needed, turned himself into a teddy bear and let Luz hug him. Eda looked at her daughter sadly. Eda figured the doctor would address it later, as it wasn't the most pressing issue at the moment. Eda finished filling out the paperwork and gave Luz a kiss on the forehead.

Luz looked at the diaper and sighed. She was grateful that the doctor cleaned up her wet bed though. Luz sadly smiled at Eda's kiss to her forehead, as she knew this meant they'd be separated very soon. Luz cried hugging StringBean while Eda left the room. Luz continued to whine, cry and scream after Eda left.

As Eda left the room, she wiped her tears and said, "I love you too little light. I will make sure to visit everyday."


The healer checked all the paperwork and entered it into his system. He stuck Luz with an IV that would quickly rehydrate the girl to help her body replenish the blood she had lost.



"So, Luz Clawthorne? I wanted to say that you are in safe hands here. No one will hurt you or give you anything bad for you. I also needed to let you know, you are permanently going to need diapers for the rest of your life. With your attempt, you managed to damage your bladder to the point where it can't hold anything in anymore. You'll be transferred to the nearest Psych Ward in about an hour or two." the healer explained.
