"Okay, if it lands on an even number, then it succeeds." Discord said. The die landed on 1. "Oh, tough luck."

"It wouldn't have done us much good anyway. We need to take this gold with us. I use my fire breath." Spike said.

"Okay, the die will determine how much damage is done divided by 2." Discord said.

Luckily for Spike, the die landed on 17. "Ooh, nice!" Discord said. "You did 34 percent damage! You have 66 percent damage left. What do you want to do now?"

“Okay, the damage done is exactly what is rolled on the die.” Discord said. To Big Mac’s luck, it landed on 17 again. “Ohh… nice! That is another 17% damage!”

“Agh! I use my lightning bolt!” The witch said.

“Oh no! Spike and Big Mac, what are you going to do?”

“Dogde out of the way!” Big Mac said frantically.

"I'll use my shield." Spike said.

"Okay, Big Mac. There are four different six-sided dice. You pick a die first and the witch will pick one next. If you get a higher roll, then your dodge is successful. If the witch rolls higher than you, then you get hit. Choose whichever one you think will let you win." Discord pulled out the four special dice. The first die has 5 on all sides. The other three have two different numbers.

Below shows what numbers are on all six sides of the dice:

Die 1: 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
Die 2: 1, 1, 7, 7, 7, 7
Die 3: 2, 2, 2, 8, 8, 8
Die 4: 3, 3, 3, 3, 9, 9

(I hope that I explained the rules of this game well enough.)

"The witch choses Die 3. To win, you have to roll a 7 and the witch has to roll a 2. If any other result happens, then you lose." Discord said.

Big Mac rolled first and it was a 7. Much to Big Mac's luck, the witch rolls a 2. "Ooh, looks like you got it! That means that you take no damage!" Discord said excitedly.

"Now, Spike. For your shield to work, you have to roll a 5 or lower. If you roll higher than 5, then you take more damage the higher your roll is."

Spike rolled a 2.

"Well, aren't you two lucky today? What attack would you like to use next?"

"Okay. Give a number from 1 to 20. Then, we will roll the die. If your number is above the number shown on the die, then the witch will block your attack and no damage will be done. Otherwise, the amount of damage done will be the number that you give. Don't bet too low or high."
