A Mother's Day Wish

Edna hadn't been expecting anyone on mothers day for a long time as ever sense her boy became part of the X-men he barelly visited so for now she was going through some old baby books and looking at the old baby items of his with a half sad smile and half frown of disappointment that Hank had grew up so fast. Granted she will soon or would be soon going to a baby shower if nothing unexpected happens which it will of course

Beast had decided to visit for Mother's Day as the X-Men were taking some downtime and he had just taken a meeting with the Illuminati. He'd taken Xavier's seat and gem when their mentor had fallen and had ended up with the 'Reality Stone' from the Infinity Gauntlet. Back home at the farm in Dunfee, Illinois was as safe a place as any to keep it. After all it's not like his Parents or Grandma would abuse it.

Hank coughed a bit as he walked in on his Mom... looking at the short history of his childhood all laid out around her. "Hey Mom.... surprise. I'm home for Mother's Day and thought we could go to dinner or something." Hank walked over and sat down after giving her a hug and looked at all the stuff laid out. "Hey... you okay?" He asked, looking just a bit worried at how sad she seemed to be acting right now.

''Hello sweetie'' Edna said abit melancholy as she hugged him back ''Wanna come to a baby shower with your dear old mommy and grandma?'' Edna asked as ever since Hank hardly showed up during days like this Edna tended to find something to take her mind off of the matter. Though Hank was partially right on not abusing the stone as his parents and grandma has been tempted to use it to return Hank to a younger state given his seemingly everlasting midlife crisis and the two females own desires. But they have so far resisted the temptation , after all they understand no good can come from tampering with the fabric of reality nor time. They have seen over the years how tampering with both has messed with the bonds of this reality and time to the point temporal and spacial problems have cropped up more and more. Though they keeping getting temped with a 'what harm can a little more cause?' thought pop in there heads when glancing at the gemstone .

''You know your twin visited us but refused to stay other then for dinner the other day and brought your dear mother a gift for mothers day'' Of course this might spur Hank along to do something to one up that so called 'evil twin' from the AoA timeline , but atleast if its one thing Hank should know is even if said 'twin' wanted the gemstone he'd not take it from Edna and Jonathan McCoy let alone Grandma McCoy .

Hank sat down next to Edna and looked over the remains of his short childhood. Perking a brow at the fact she had seemed to have kept just about everything from that early period in his life. "Baby Shower?" Hank wondered just a bit. "Is that what has you looking back on memory lane?" He asked, picking up a pair of old training pants with care bears on them and blushed. "You sure you'd rather go to a baby shower? I was gonna take you and Grandma out for Mother's Day. This is your special day after all... I want to make it super special for you." Hank kissed her cheek warmly.

"He's not my Brother. He's not even really family. He's a dark reflection of me from a dark twisted reality." Hank offered with a heavy exhale as he shook his head just a bit. Yeah Twin was the easiest way for them to refer to him. "Besides, he's actually older than I am." Though he didn't seem to have the same eternal mid-life crisis that Henry routinely suffered from. But then his childhood had been a lot different than Hank's had been. "But that's nice that he's trying to be good. What did he bring you?" Hank wondered as he rubbed the back of his head just a bit sheepishly.

Edna frowned a tiny bit '' I had plans sweetie ... we can atleast stop by and drop off what we got for it if you want to take us out... But Grandma and myself would much rather stay at home with our Henry and smother him in affection instead of going out'' Edna stated on the matter honestly as Hank never really let them do a smothering in affection when he was younger.


Though after Hank had to insist his 'Evil Twin' wasn't family a wooden spoon found a firm landing on Hanks rear from Grandma McCoy displeased at Henry for thinking that way '' Bad Henry , He is family no matter what you say or think about him'' Of course Grandma McCoy would scold Hank like that over the matter at hand when talking about his 'evil twin'


''Grandma is right sweetie hes family in our eyes , while its true he isn't your brother its simpler and less headache-inducing to refer to him as such. As for the gift we aren't quite sure what to make of it . He described it as a dimensional viewer for ones enjoyment '' Edna showed it and what it is is a viewer of realitys a rather benign but impressive gift. Likey both him trying to be good and get on Hanks nerves at the same time

Beast frowned heavily at his Mother's obvious sadness. "I'm sorry Mommy... I should have told you I was coming. But I didn't expect you to have plans." Hank's shoulders slumped just a little bit at being let down by her preference to go to a Baby Shower than go out with him. "No, no, no... it's okay. It seems important to you. And I know you didn't really have a baby shower when I was younger." Hank was feeling bad like he was being selfish on what was supposed to be his Mom's special day. Since he just expected her to drop everything for him to take her to dinner with no warning.

Hank yelped a bit at the wooden spoon to his rear, though it was more out of shock than actual pain. "But Grandma... you don't really understand what he's like." Hank huffed just a little bit and grumbled under his breath. And then got even more huffy at the present his 'Evil Twin' had given his Mother. "Of course he's trying to show me up." Hank rolled his eyes just a bit. He didn't have anything prepared to really top that. Or did he? "Mom... what do you really want most of all for Mother's Day?" Hank asked, pulling out the small box from his pocket that held the reality gem inside.

''Now now don't go thinking you are selfish on us'' of course Grandma McCoy and Edna would chime in at about the same time knowing Henery so well still after all these years to get what he was feeling at the very least

''Now come on do you honestly think he'd try showing you up? He always goes on hes the better out of the two so he'd have to be insecure on his assertation to try that'' Edna remarked honestly on her take of the matter

''My little boy to have at least an enjoyable day being a young child instead of being mature preferably not potty trained at that so Momma and Grandma can change his diapers.''Edna said honestly on the matter as Henry often was honest with them when he could be so Edna did the same on truthfulness. Despite that not much they could to get that desire granted


Grandma McCoy huffed'' Don't but Grandma me we may not know him aswell but he is trying to adjust and be a good boy so atleast try to get along or try accepting him as family for your Grandma's mother day...Okay?''Grandma McCoy gave her mothers day request on Hank trying to get his ' Evil Twin' be as if family

"Yeah, but I should have called ahead and made plans with you both." Hank noted with a sheepish rub at the back of his head as he felt a bit sad. "I know I usually just send a gift... but I wanted it to be a surprise." Hank was feeling pretty low about the fact he thought his Mom didn't have a life of her own when he wasn't around. "Sorry it's not your baby shower. And I'm sorry I was such a disappointing only child Mom."

Hank blushed just a bit at what Edna wanted most of all for Mother's Day. He toyed with the small box in his hands. It could be dangerous to play with reality... but the stone was supposed to be free of consequences. At least that's what Hank thought anyway? What's the worst that could happen? Who would it hurt? And it would only be for one day? Of course, Hank had no clue how any of this would turn out.

"You sure that's what you'd want?" Hank asked as he took the gem from the box. Hank wanted this to be perfect for Edna... and began to craft her desires into reality. He'd fix everything after Mother's Day anyway. As Hank tinkered with reality his body began to regress, having unexpected effects on his maturity as well. As Hank was getting younger he accidentally dropped the gem... allowing the two adults to take control.

The gemstone started doiung its own thing now from of the one holding it started to have a seemingly pausing affect go throwout the town affecting everyone and everything in it thankfully all stones wasn't gathered or else an entire reality twisting would happen though someone with a strong enough will and desire could cause any gem to boost the effect range . First thing to be noticed before the stone was picked up by Grandma McCoy would be the two females was made younger one in the prime of her life the other still old by younger then she was prior. Next though was what seemed like the building and items in the house was getting to be like new status . And once Hank was young enough he'd likely notice what seemed like the knowledge of potty training slipping away . Granted still older then when he first potty trained .


Meanwhile outside of the house everyone in towns reality of the family in mermorys was being changed by the stones own will as it likes these two females and thus want to please them .. Add to that it never liked Hank purelly for Hank tried to reason that its power could be explained and that it was just a special energy charged gem when its much more then that. So its taking out its desire for revenge on Hank in a way that makes some people happy . Infact if Hank looked up it'd be easy to swear the gemstone was smirking at him

''I'll take care of this gem my grandbaby '' Of course the two girls will like this so much Hank won't be turning back any time soon

Without someone holding the gem and directing it... it did seem to have a mind of it's own. While it was following the previous desires to make his Mom and Grandma happy, it seemed to escalate that alteration of reality far more than expected. Hank blinked as his Mom and Grandma had their ages dialed back to more in keeping with Hank's new age. Hank's clothes began to hang off him... as he continued to regress from an adult to the baby that Mommy wanted so badly to care for again. Hank was worried about just what age it would stop at... though he could feel warm wetness spreading beneath his furry blue rump. He was having an accident and hadn't even noticed a need to go.

As Mommy and Edna were bathed in the power of the gem they also could innately understand exactly how it worked. Anything they desired or wanted could be made reality. And it liked what they wanted for Hank. And the proof was in the pudding as the regressed Beast sat there a puddle and a pile of clothes that once were fitting his powerful manly frame. "Mommy..." Hank was stunned by his typical manly voice now was that of a child as he reached up grabby hands at Grandma McCoy trying to get the gem back. "No... It's dangerous to play with. Give it back, give it back, give it back." Hank began to seem to almost slip into having a tantrum... a sign of the change more than physical.
