It was nearing Halloween and Alexis for all her might and will hated Halloween.

When she was a child she hated it then and she hated it just as much now!

It seemed silly to hate a holiday that so many people loved but she just always hated how everyone would just try and jump out scaring each other. It just wasn't her thing and never would be but she did her best to try and show that she wasn't scared at all.

Alexis sighed. It was the weekend and soon enough it would be Monday.

Feeling hungry Alexis headed down from her room to the kitchen only to stop. There was large spider on the wall.

Eyes wide Alexis instantly run away from the kitchen looking for her room-mate, "T-there's a spider in the kitchen can you get rid of it, please?" said Alexis almost begging her room-mate.

Alexis did her best to not look scared at all despite the fact that she was out of breath and she was shaking a little, "You know I hate spiders." whined Alexis softly. Her hair was a very pale blonde and her eyes were a bright shade of green. She looked almost doll like as she stood there with a plain white dress on and nothing else.

Despite being October the weather wasn't or didn't feel cold at all to Alexis.

Jess sighed as her roommate walked into her room. The little blonde looked petrified she was almost concerned . Then she heard there was a spider in the kitchen.

She sighed Alexis could be such a baby sometimes. “Can’t you handle it” she asked as she was already standing up already knowing the girl’s answer. She walked to the kitchen and picked the tiny bug up setting it outside the windowsill.

“There see no more scary spiders.” She said smugly Jess was 5’9 with a toned build from all the excercise she did regularly. She had long raven black hair and hazel eyes.

“Aren’t you cold?” She asked eyeing the girl’s clothing a bit confused. She went ahead and started working on some lunch she made herself a sandwich before working on one for Alexis. She knew the girl was hungry and made it the way the girl liked it.

She handed the girl a plate with the sandwich on it “eat before you get any smaller” she teased

Alexis followed behind Jess clutching to her a little as they near the kitchen only to stop by the door and hide behind it as she watched the spider crawl about causing her to whimper slightly.

Seeing Jess deal with it Alexis let out a huge sigh.

Why couldn't she be more like her? There was 7inches between the two. Alexis stood at 5'2 and still had a baby looking face. Her body seemed to have giving up the concept of growing beyond that of a tweleve year old much to her displeasure but there wasn't much she could do about it and at least she had proof that she was an adult on her.

"N-no," stammered Alexis, "it's fine and thanks for taking care of the spider," paused Lexi, "a lot of my clothes need to get wash otherwise I'd just be in a shirt and shorts." she added with a shrug in her shoulders as she watched Jess curiously only to laugh, "I don't think I could get any smaller."

The thought of becoming smaller than she currently was scared her a little, "Thank you for the sandwhich." she added taking a bite happily glad that the crusts were off.

It was kind of silly and childish but she liked it like that even though she was in early twenties, "You plan on doing anything today?" asked Alexis softly often wanting to hang around with Jess but always fearing that she was annoying her taller room-mate somehow.

Jess smiled “well I was thinking about decorating the apartment for Halloween but I know you don’t like the holiday” she sighed “wanna help out” she said holding a box filled with candy fake eyes and spiderwebs all sorts of decorative items.

She sighed “Do you mind if we have a small costume party here?” She asked curiously. She wanted to have some friends over. She idly wondered if any of the decorations would creep the girl out. She went for the less scary ones but it was no secret tha lil Lexi was a pretty big wimp.

“It’s gonna be the day before so some of my friends can go to other parties the day after” she said smiling getting one of the big fake spiders out to put up.

She waited for her tiny roommate to reply

Alexis wasn't sure about the idea of the apartment being decorated for Halloween. Would there be fake blood? Scary things? Alexis glanced at the box and frowned a little looking at Jess with a certain frightful look.

"I-I guess a small costume party wouldn't hurt," said Alexis not wanting to be a downer at all, "I'll probably just be in my room for party cause this stuff kinda creeps me out but you know that anyway."

Alexis squirmed at the big fake spiders but at least it was obvious that they were fake, "Could we keep the decorations limited to just the living room though?" asked Alexis timidly glaring a little at the plastic decorations.

Jess sighed “alright we can keep it in the living room but does that mean you don’t wanna help decorate?” She asked the girl.

“I’m glad you’re okay with this at all honestly” she said giving the smaller girl a hug. “It’s a costume party you sure you don’t wanna dress up?” She asked looking the girl over. “I’ll get the laundry tonight so you can wear some warmer clothes too” she said

“Oh and how’s takeout sound for dinner later”

Alexis looked unsure, "I guess I could help if you really want me to help but I can't really reach that high like you can."

Alexis was a little surprised by the hug but it wasn't odd. Hugs tended to be normal between the two of them, "I wouldn't know what to dress up as and I-I don't want to freak out cause someone is dressed as something really scary." she added softly knowing that she probably sounded like a child right now.

"You don't have to do that." said Alexis yet she was smiling. It was nice of Jess to offer that.

"Takeout sounds good! Can we have pizza?" asked Alexis excitedly. She rarely cooked at all and she rarely did much cleaning in the apartment that they shared but she did her best and that seemed to work out fairly well.

Jess grinned. “Alright I understand” she sighed “it’ll be fun though” she reassured the tiny girl. As she handed her a bottle of fake blood and some eyes that stuck to the wall “think you can start decorating while I order for us?” She asked as she grabbed the phone.

She knew the girl did her best but most of the time she felt more like a nanny than a roommate but she liked the girl too much to ever replace her.

She clicked the tv on and went to the kitchen to order their pizza for dinners. She smiled and talked to the woman at the pizza place.

Alexis sighed in return, "Sure I should be able to do that," she replied feeling unsure taking the fake blood and some eyes from Jess, "that sounds good! Thank you!"

Alexis opened the bottle and frowned feeling squeamish by the fake blood and applied a little to the eyes and wall. This only made the eyes look more scary and caused Alexis to glance over at Jess with her classic 'puppy eyed' look.

Alexis worked slowly and started to feel even more unsure than before, "Is that okay Jess?" asked Alexis no longer wanting to do anymore at all. Her attempt wasn't bad but it wasn't that scary really yet even the smallest thing could scare her so it was lucky that she could even manage this.

Jess finished on the phone then went over to her roommate and smiled she picked the girl up in a hug “you tried and that’s what matters I know you were scared but you did your best” she smiled “I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind me and my friends picking a costume out for you.” She said grinning.

She smiled “I’m going to use the bathroom” she said leaving the girl alone in the scary room she knew the girl didn’t handle being alone well and she’s need the bathroom after getting all worked up. So she should have an entertaining scene in a few minutes. The girl was awefully needy. She sighed locking the bathroom door.
