Kara squirmed a bit.

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I wanted her to know about... this!", she gestured to the package of padding beside Alex.

Kara sighed, this was going to be hell. Alex finished the change, patting the front of Kara's padding playfully before the two of them walked back out to the living room where Nia was waiting.

"So, I'm sure you're wondering about... this?"

Alex eventually powdered and rediapered Kara. "Look, ever since the falling out with Marve, Nia has seen you like a sister. If she can keep your identity a secret, I'm sure she'll keep this a secret as well." Alex said before patting the front of Kara's diaper. "Besides, who could laugh at someone as cute as you?"

Nia gulped a little and nodded. "Could you explain how this happened please?"

Kara rolled her eyes at Alex's sisterly teasing.

Kara opened her mouth to explain her situation, but the words were hard to come out. Luckily, Alex handled it.

"Okay, long and short of it? Kara's body is still adjusting to yellow sun radiation, so she needs some protection when she takes hard hits. Ever wondered why she leaves so fast sometimes?"

Kara watched Nia's eyes go wide in understanding.

"Look, this doesn't change anything between us, right? I'm still Supergirl."

Nia seemed to understand what Alex meant, but she still had some questions. "So how long has she needed these for? Was she wearing one when we first met?" She asked, trying not to look at the adorable diaper taped around her friend's waist. "Don't you want to, uh... get some pants on?"

Alex chuckled a little. "It's a little rule we have when she's home. She can't cover up her diapers to make checking her easier."

Kara was wordless as Alex answered Nia’s sleuth of questions. She’d been needing them for a couple years, Lena’s considering making custom ones to suit Kara’s physiology, and the rule of no pants at home was one Alex thought of two months ago.

“Alex!” Kara whined as she said it so casually.

Nia seemed to understand, and wasn't willing to judge Kara for her problem at all. "So... how did you manage to hide them for so long?" She asked.

"Come on, Kara. It's my job to embarrass you as your big sister. Besides, Nia won't judge, right Nia?" Alex shot a brief glare at Nia, assuming she wouldn't have a problem with this.

Kara was glad a question was finally directed at her.

“Well, they’re not too thick or bulky, so I can hide them under my costume shorts, or pants at work”

Kara remembered a few close calls with Lena, thankful for her friend’s workaholic nature.

"Do you... want me to help you with this at work?" Nia suggested, just having thought of the idea, as much as it horrified Kara.

Alex, on the other hand... "That's actually a great idea, Nia."

Kara jumped in, “That’s sweet, Nia, but I can handle myself, really, ut’s usually just the hero stuff where accidents happen,” she half lied. Nia wasn’t so easily convinced.
“Didn’t you say you wear them at work too?”
Kara was caught, Alex discussed preparing a diaper bag for work.

"What if you have an accident at work and need help changing?" Nia asked, clearly concerned for her friend.

Alex nodded in agreement. "You make a good point, Nia. I remember one time, Kara flew to the DEO while I was at work so I could change her."
