Max nodded in return and kept quiet. Why did she feel bad? As if something was wrong? Was this anxiety? She never had anxiety before. Maybe it was just a silly girl thing she didn't understand? Max looked at Alex and was a little surprised when her sister crouched down to her level. It made everything more intimate then it should be and she felt a lot vulnerable because of that, "Nothing," mumbled Max quietly unable to think at all until she heard Alex speak again, "I'm not scared." replied Max quietly only to feel Alex's arms wrap around her. It felt nice, good and most of all comforting. Max melted into the hug and could feel tears prick at her eyes but she didn't allow them to fall or for herself to cry. It would be humiliating if she did and she didn't want Alex making fun of her if she did and if Justin saw her like that she knew she would never live it down. Max didn't move away but she didn't return Alex's hug either.

Alex sighed picking the girl up and setting her on the counter "It's okay to be scared and it's okay to cry sweetie" she cooed rubbing the girl's back and getting out the two subs she'd made for them "It's your favourite and don't worry big sister will protect you from whatever got you so scared" she cooed summoning the stuffed toy from upstairs "and I'm sure he'll protect you too."

Max was surprised that Alex could lift her and stared at Alex for a moment while she sat on the counter her feet not touching the floor at all. She was so small. Max frowned, "I'm not scared," argued Max, "and I don't cry." added Max, "Only babies and little kids cry and I'm neither." mumbled Max frustrated by how Alex was treating her and how it actually felt good to be hugged by Alex.

Max looked at the sub for a moment and offered Alex a small smile, "Thanks." replied Max only to frown at the mention of Alex protecting her, "I don't need protecting I can look after myself." added Max eating her sub a little only to see the plushie Alex got her. A strange urge suddenly came over Max and she found herself not just wanting to hold the toy but actually holding it close to her chest while she ate the sub. What was going on?

Alex cooed at the girl as she ate "It's okay sweetie you just like your new Plushy"" she cooed lovingly." she smiled sweetly taking a napkin too the girl's messy face and scooped her up again "MAx hunnie do you know how old you look and probably are now?" she cooed adoringly "I'd say anywhere from eight to ten" she smirked "you are a little girl and that means it's okay if you cry sometimes" she cooed as she brought the girl upstairs and gave her the pink footsie pajama's to throw on as she left the room.

After about 10 minutes alex came back in and smiled. "do you wanna sleep with me again tonight sweetie?" she cooed lovingly.

Max blushed and hid her face a little into the soft toy. What was going on? Why did it feel so good to hold this thing? Max whined slightly upon having her face cleaned up. Was that necessary? Max frowned some more upon being scooped up by Alex and shook her head, "I'm suppose to be sixteen not ten!" squeaked Max loudly only to sigh, "Just great no longer am I not a guy but I'm a kid!" complained Max frustrated.

Max followed Alex and continued to cling to the plushie and was glad to be alone for a few minutes to get changed but she felt odd almost as if something wasn't right? Did she miss Alex? Impossible! Max changed into the footed pyajama's.

Max looked at Alex and sighed once more, "Yeah." admitted Max looking down at the floor. She didn't want to be alone for some reason but she didn't know why.

"Shhh sweetie nothing to be ashamed about Big sissy'll take care of you" she promised carrying the girl too her bedroom where she tucked the girl under her arm. and pulled the blankets up around then she pulled out a book from upstairs about wizard fairy tales

rather then ask whether max wanted one she began reading aloud gently stroking the girl's hair lovingly.

Max lowered her head feeling emotional. She never expected Alex to care for anyone before let alone her. What was going on? It seemed like a trick but Alex was being so nice and she felt so anxious now. Max stayed quiet and didn't complain upon being carried by Alex. It felt nice and comforting. It was different from what she was used too.

Max blushed a little and snuggled up slightly to Alex only to frown upon seeing the book. She didn't need a bedtime story! She wasn't five! Max sighed a little and decided to let it pass. Whatever Alex plan was she would ask tomorrow about it because it seemed weird that Alex was being this caring for her.

THe next morning alex woke up and carried the tiny girl downstairs for breakfast. she set max up in front of some cartoon show and went off to go make breakfast. she brought a big plate out toward the tiny girl. "Eat up sweetie" she cooed lovingly rubbing her back gently"

"It's okay you look upset sup baby max?" she cooed gently

Max cuddled up close to Alex in her sleep almost clinging to her so when she woke up next morning she was surprised to be out of bed and being carried by Alex! The small girl whimpered a little at this. Why was Alex carrying her? And why did it feel good? Almost comforting for this to be happening? Max sighed softly as she was set down on the couch in front of the TV to watch cartoons.

Max swung her feet back and forth happily watching the childish shows. Max watched as a robot fought another robot. It was rather violent but it was a cartoon so it wasn't terrible. Max ate her food slowly and kept quiet only to look at Alex, "Why are you being so nice?" asked Max with a high-pitch voice and looking at Alex questionably.

"How could I not be when my new baby sister is so adorable" she cooed teasingly. "besides it gets me out of chores" she chirped idly as she brought the girl her stuffed animal. "I was thinking about it what do you wanna do today?" she cooed

After the girl's were well fed Jerry came in. "I talked with the school I told them Maxine was max's cousin and part of exchange program she's going to attend the local elementary School" he said doing air quotes.
