Mesozoic Zoological Gardens.

A triumph of modern biotechnology where guests can meet live dinosaurs in a recreated Mesozoic environment.

The most popular exhibits were of course, the raptors. Even with the scientifically accurate feather coat, they were still beloved by the crowd.

But the zoo's greatest breakthrough was engineering raptors with enhanced intelligence. After some training and teaching, they were given a collar that allows them to speak and moderates their instinctive behavior. These raptors were then employed as tour guides, janitors and resturant staff.

Edmund Lau, a keeper specializing in smaller herbivores had just finished feeding his fharges. He walked down a pathway and exited into the main zoo where he attempted to blend into the crowd.

It was then he made his way to the bar. While drinking on the job was strictly prohibited, the bar also served a wide variety of non-alcoholic drinks.

The raptors had been trained to not go after the people for meat but instead had learned to wait patiently for their meals that came due to them working at the park one of the raptors was a tour guide who was swamp green scaled with black scales that were arranged to look like black scar marks on him and wore a black diaper to match along with a cute tour guide vest

Edmund turned to the bartender, a man who seemed to have a permanent scowl on his face.

"The usual?" The bartender asked as he scooped some ice into a cup.

"Yeah," Edmund replied.

A non-alcoholic pinapple cooler was placed in front of him. He turned his head and noticed one of the raptor tour guides standing next to the counter.

The raptor was drinking some water from a little bowl that had been provided for him and he soon looked up and over at the man looking at him and blinked

Edmund looked over the raptor. True to his zookeeper training, he couldn't help but assess the raptor's health.

And he looked very healthy.

He then cleared his throat as he noticed the raptor was looking back at him. "Hello."

Edmund took a moment to clear his brain of the fact that a raptor had juwt spoken to him. He knew of the raptor training program that trained them to be employees of this zoo, but he never knew they were capable of speech.

"So how have you been?" he asked. He mentally kicked himself for such a lame comment. But then again, he was seeing a talking raptor.

She seemed to be smiling a bit as if she knew he was a bit wobbly with his choice of words as she took another little drink "I've been well, pretty busy turnout today but it's nice to come and get a drink and little bite when I need one, among other things I need" she said
