The Humiliating Peace (Naruto Rp for Demon969 and Momma)
The Lands of the Ninja World have been plagued with constant conflict for hundreds of years. Senseless wars fought for political gain, raids waged for riches and invasions for expansion, you name it. Every conflict imaginable has occurred in these lands. A constant and current target for such unending warfare was Konohagakure.
Numerous times, this village had been besieged by constant invasions, raids and had even been attacked by a Tailed Beast! More recently, there had been a conflict concerning Otogakure; The Hidden Sound Village. Numerous attacks on trade routes had crippled Konoha’s imports and exports
In addition, Sound had begun to target Genin teams, holding them hostage in exchange for ransom money. Now, Otogakure has never been a village to be considered as a threat. In fact, Otogakure was mostly known to be a village which attempted to seem like a threat. However, Sound was beginning to gain a reputation for being a safe haven for criminals, mercenaries and dangerous fugitives. In addition, it was also known that their leader was a strict and tyrannical ruler. Although, that is what the rumors suggested.
Tsunade, the current Hokage, could have easily sent a contingent to raze Otogakure to its foundations. But that would be setting a bad precedent for Konohagakure and was worth more trouble than it was worth. So, Tsunade Senju bartered a deal with the leader of Otogakure for peace.
That solution for peace was currently on its way to Otogakure as we speak. A caravan, ran by horses and a driver, was currently heading towards Otogakure. The driver’s safety was ensured by Otogakure’s leader, who gave explicit instruction for all raiding parties to protect the cargo at all costs.
Speaking of Cargo, the only cargo present in the caravan was a caged individual. This cage was made of reinforced steel. This steel was made from a particular steel, known for severely inhibiting chakra. However, if this did not work, there were several seals inscribed on paper, plastered onto the cage. These seals acted as Chakra inhibitors, preventing the usage of chakra by this ‘prized’ individual.
But just who was this individual? Well...I think you already know the answer to that.
