"But...what gifts...?" Liu Kang could only continue to pout and wriggle some more. Goosebumps were already beginning to climb up his skin, making it all the harder for him to want to let Raiden go.

But, in the end, he was still much too weak to fight much. A tiny whine escaped the boy as he was laid out on his back, followed by another distressed little noise when he realised that he was going to be very much on his own in the water.

Panic gripped his chest.

"B-but...!"

'Daddy...!' Part of him wanted to cry, but just about clamped down on before it could escape his lips.

No...no, he was not a helpless baby...! And despite his gaze still fixed on Raiden...he was going to prove this...!

Somehow...!

Raiden wanted him to float, right? Well...alright then. He'd let himself float...hell, maybe he'd be able to swim...!

"Be careful my little one." Raiden's voice boomed with instruction. "You must not stray far down into the rivers. The waters could push you down the mountains!" He stated as he watched Liu Kang begin to explore a little. "Your limbs still need time to recover." He informs the rebellious little monk. Raiden did not take his eyes off of Liu Kang for a moment. In fact his heart begin to beat as the two grew further apart.

Raiden stands and watches Liu Kang, allowing him to choose his own path, but hopes that Liu Kang sees that there is a correct path, and an incorrect path as well. Raiden begin to take steps around the spring to keep a close watch of his precious baby boy.
