Idea for the Shiva session. What if the thing that prompts Cass to go exploring and accidentally break a picture in Shiva's room is that Cass has a brief panic when her emergency communicator (Maybe a thing in her ear) fell out during her sparring with Shiva, so Shiva goes off to find it, and then Cass thinks "Hey, I can explore mommy's house."

I think so, it makes sense. Plus, writing Shiva having to comfort her regressed daughter is a scene that writes itself.

Precisely the plan. And speaking of plan:
I have the idea that Shiva is Mainly helping Cass as the favour, plus curiosity. I have an idea that during it, Cass accidentally breaks a sentimental photograph of Shiva’s bedroom, and Shiva almost calls it off until she sees Cass’s teary face:
Shiva used to have a twin sister (Carolyn) before she was killed and went through her training to become the best martial artist ever. And maybe Cass reminds her of Carolyn.
I also have some good ideas cor what things Cass does during the session, but I’ll share those once we’re there.
