Also. Cool idea for how Cass breaks out. When she’s put down for a nap, she sees the bat-signal outside. That inspires her. So she gets out of the crib, runs out to chase, and as she runs a black swarm of bats follow her.
The darkness swirled around her, filling her vision. But she didn’t mind. She trusted the darkness, the shadows, the bats. She knew them.
And then, Cass is in a void area where she can talk to her inner child and get some closure before breaking out back into reality.
