Maybe the bad draws her eye and she throws them from the shelf and tries to focus on good memories and has a bit of a speech about how she’s adapted to this new life even with the difficulties.

So would Barbara read through the books with bad memories and the ones with good memories.

Oh, and another thing: I think I had an idea for this story’s climax. Follow me on this: Baby-Bat and Canary and Batgirl track down Scarecrow and a couple of his goons, Babs gets sprayed with fear toxin and has the mother of all hallucination dreams. Picture a library with books for each year, and there’s a shelf with stuff like “Latest tantrum, Canary saving us” then negative self talk Barbara arrives and tries pulling her thing, bringing in Dream Dinah, but Barbara pushes back abd wakes up in her bed.

Cue Dinah telling her “It’s okay, after you got gassed, you were knocked out, we thought you died, but I’m so glad you’re okay,”

And Barbara admits, weirdly enough that she feels… at peace with herself.

Okay, I just wasn't sure who you wanted to tease her.

Maybe a bit “ain’t you a bit young for this gig” and maybe Dinah absentmindedly makes a little comment after patrol.

Would the criminals tease Baby-Bat?

Idea for patrol, maybe Baby-Bat doesn't like getting teased when she's in costume, even from Dinah, because "When I put this on, I want to feel like a hero, not some kid in dress up."

Maybe she points out "And, yes, I-I know it kinda looks like I'm wearing a teenage sized onesie, but my point stands."

And Dinah has this moment of "Hm, she's never seemed bothered by this before" then lead into the mini time skip and one on one sessions with Babs and Dinah working through the formers negative self talk.

Sounds like a plan to me

Maybe Dinah ends the Little session after Babs and Cass apologise. Then maybe they have dinner or maybe Baby-Bat and Canary have a patrol together, and after that, we do the mini time skip.
