OK, let me give you some backstory on Angra Mainyu first. A LONG ass time ago in the ancient Middle East, there was a village. In that village, the crops were failing, draught, etc. The villagers believed this due to the gods being pissed at them, (And in the Nasuverse, the collective universe Fate is a part of, all religions are pretty much true), so they decided that they would declare one of their own the root of "All the World's Evils". This unamed man was then tortured for decades, had blasphmeous words carved into his skin, etc. Eventually, he died, and the Holy Grail (In essence a mystic wish granting object connected to the Root of creation), fufilled the villagers wishes, and Angra Mainyu, for the man became conflated with the Zoroastrian God of Evil, "corrupted" the Grail, becoming, in the physical world, black mud. Whenever this mud corrupts a Servant, it, well, it brings out their worst traits, and amplifies them
