So I would say they are quite close friends, just to include the option of calming her down with cuddles and such from the very beginning. It would be kinda strange if he was still some kind of stranger who tries to calm down his room mate this way.

Her mostly acting like a child will also make him tempted to be more dominant at the very beginning with things like "If you have another accident today we will buy some pull ups for you and I will make sure you will wear them. I am fed up with cleaning puddles and having to wash your wet clothes."

Depending on how adult your character acts at home he simply could consider it as something legit to do with a little princess who barely does any housework and is more a child than a fellow adult to him.
If we go with them being a couple he probably did find out this on the hard way and starts the hypnosis to make her his little girl because since they moved together she looks to be depending on him anyway.

Sounds wonderful, so we already have a concept. Do you want us to make this more detailed like discussing if first the hypnosis should aim for her potty training, then maybe her ability to hold things, or if some things shall happen at the same time?

I was thinking of playing a male character if you don't mind it. Not sure yet how the relationship between the two of them should exactly look like.

This would probably make her end up with looking for the reason for all this.
The other idea would somehow be a gently pushing her in it what probably will start some kind of change of mind.
So which of these is your preference?

I yet only have done it with the total loss of single abilities and you are right it was quite fast this way, even if you only do one per day. Maybe some uncertainties what are slowly increasing might be even more fun. I mean some uncertanity about how long she can hold certain things in might lead to first accidents, probably with increasing uncertainity her ending up dribbling in her diaper like a baby does because she doesn't even know anymore what this feeling means.

Sounds fine with me. Sounds somehow classic from many stories. And I agree, it won't have to end here but it would be the end of the regression.

I have the following things coming up to my mind at the moment:
- Doing stepwise hypnosis what makes your character lose a certain skill each day
- Gentle and agreed domination as some kind of stepwise training

But I am open to more ideas if you have some, this includes preferences of yours as well
