Accidents have Consequences: Ravens Little Summer

Summer giggled at the antics of the two girls before a chime went off signalling that there were five minutes left before lunch. Upon hearing that chime, summer decided to ask one more question before lunch. "Really? How many many baby's and caretakers are here currently?" Summer asked with a curious grin.

"Hmm, caretakers about seventeen, and babies, well today there's about twenty-five." Faith said, smiling. "You'll love it here."

"I hope so..." Summer murmured nervously.

Soon the bell sounded for lunch time and they all lined up, single file and they were lead by one of the other caretakers into the dining room. Everyone else seemed to know where to go or what seat they were supposed to sit in but Summer, being the "new kid" so to speak, had no clue what was going so she just stood in the centre of the vinyl, black and white, checkered floor and waited for one of the caretakers or her friends Faith and Aurora to point her in the right direction.

"Hey, you can sit with us Sum." Aurora called out. She and Faith were seated at what appeared to be High Chairs, but connected trays formed a table of four. A caretaker, a young chamelon Faunus, sat her in one of the seats across from the two.

Summer let out a small squeak as she was picked up by one of the caretaker and placed in one of the highchairs and strapped in. Summer smiled as a white bib with a daisy stitched on the front was tied around her neck, she was quite happy that she no longer had to worry about making a mess. The person sitting next to summer was a boy named Michael, he was a cat faunus with black hair that was a shade lighter than Raven's and he greeted Faith and Aurora as old friends.

Lunch was a simple meal of jam sandwiches cut in half with crusts cut off with yellow apple slices on the side. No utensils were given to the babies other than sippy cups with handles on the sides as they were expected to eat with their hands. After that was eaten they were each given a bowl of chocolate mousse for desert.

Faith and Aurora wasted no time in eating their desert. The caretakers then went around and cleaned them up. "Oh yeah, they also have communal bath time, though they have....private baths as well." Aurora winked saucily at Summer

Summer grimaced was her face was being washed and tried to avoid the wet cloth as most children do. Summer blushed a deep cherry red when the girls mentioned bath time and managed to reply amidst much sputtering "W-What?! you mean r-right now?!"

"No, later on though." Aurora said, waving her hands. "Now we have some more play time." she said, grinning. "Outdoor play time." she pointed to the backyard, where a large playground lay. The "babies" and "toddlers" were herded out to the fenced off playground

Summer waddled as fast as she could after her friends and soon she was outside in the play area. Summer saw many kids playing on playsets, in sandboxes and just generally running around being happy and playing with each other. Summer smiled as she watched everyone play, however, she had a problem. Lunch, while not a huge meal, was still quite filling to Summer and so, she was feeling over full and, as a result, did not have the energy for all of this playing. Looking around she spotted an open area in all of the chaos that seemed to have soft luscious grass. Summer toddled over to that area as quickly as possible to make sure it wasn't taken and fell backwards onto her thickly padded rump and then lay back to simply study the clouds and wait to see who would join her.

Faith and Aurora came over, plopping down on either side of her. "So, what do you think of the place so far?" Faith asked, as she suckled on a pacifier. "I hope you're liking it Summer." she smiled warmly.
