The Adotped Model

Hunter sighed as he stepped out of his car, streching, and his bones popping and cracking as he did so. The drive to the orphanage was not a short one. It took him about 2 hours to get there, without any breaks. But he wasn't going to let this opportunity to pass him by.

You see Hunter was a very successful modeling agent, having multiple clients. Which you could see from his fancy black car, which even though use still let off a new car smell, his face outfit, and even the fancy sunglasses and watch he wore. But he had gotten word of a special girl that lived at said orphanage. A girl who looked like she was 5 or 6 but was actually a good bit older than that. Which sounded perfect for his next strech of his agency to get into little kid and toddler stuff. And with a phone call, and some convincing that he wasn't a creep, he had managed to get a visit with the girl.

Now Hunter wasn't looking for a daughter... and he wasn't planning on going in there and filling the girls head with hopes of them walking out as the perfect loving family. But he would offer her a place to stay, never having to worry about where her next meal will come from, and a few other things.

Walking in, after going past a couple of kids playing outside, Hunter went to the main desk and rang the bell. He figured the workers were busy with the kids and maybe getting the one he was there to see ready. And he wasn't in a super rush thay day, he had gotten the day off from his company to come out for this.

Kuro, a young girl, sat in her room, patiently waiting for her contact to arrive. She looked at the clock, slowly ticking down inevitably. To say she wasn’t excited would be false - after all, getting adopted by a loving family is a dream come true for everyone in the Orphanage.

After seeing that it was approaching the indicated time, she hopped off her bed, and looked in front of the mirror, carefully making herself as presentable as possible, running her hands through her silken, navy hair. Her bright, indigo coloured eyes reflect back through the mirror, along with her appearance. With how she looked, one would think assume she was an adorable, 6 year old girl…

…Only she was 10, nearing almost 11 now. Her genetics were to blame, though, perhaps it could even be an blessing - after all, it is this exact issue that has given her a way out of this place.

Hey Kuro." A worker said, knocking on the girls door and walked in. "He's here." They informed her and got on the knees to try and make sure the little dress they put her in was straight. It was a blue and white dress that went down to the girls knees, and a big blue bow in the back. It was defiently something someone her age wouldn't wear, but for someone her size it was the best thay could do. The dress, some soft frilly dress socks, but no dress shoes. Just a pair of purple velcro shows.

Are you ready?" The lady asked her as she stood back up and started to lead the way to the interview room. Where Hunter had been sitting for a minute or two at this point. It was a very red room... with red walls, a red ceiling, red carpets, and even red cushiony chairs. Hopefully no one ever got stabbed in the room, the police would probably never find the blood. The only thing in the room that wasn't red was the small brown table that sat in between Hunter and where Kuro and whoever was going to watch the conversation.

“Yeah… as ready as I’ll ever be.” She gulped, her heart pounding. With the lady opening the door for her, she tentatively stepped into the crimson adorned room - which, honestly, she found distasteful.

And there, sitting right there, was him. Her future. Suddenly, she found herself to be unable to speak in front of him.

So this is Kuro." The lady said, lifting the girl up and sitting her on one of the chairs. Which the girl did almost get completely sucked into. But seeing thay she froze meant she was probably going to need a hand. "Can you tell him a bit about yourself?" She encouraged the girl.

"Oh if she's nervous she doesn't have to force herself to do anything." Hunter said with a million dollar smile painted on his face. Though he didn't have any kids of his own Hunter dealt with kids every day. So he was confident he would get some conversation out of the girl. He just had to lure it out... Speaking of which. Hunter reached into his pocket and pulled out sour apple Strawberry Icebreakers, sweet and sour the perfect combination. After popping one in his mouth he leaned over and offered the girl the container, "Want one?"

Kuro looked at the sweets, before looking back at the man, furrowing her eyebrows in suspicion. After nothing happens, she gradually reached over, before quickly taking one of the candies and putting it in her mouth. At its taste, however, she relaxed a little as her body became less tense.
“…H-Hello, my name is Kuro. I’ve been in this orphanage for a couple of years now, ever since my parents…” Her voice trailed off, shaking her head as if remembering an unpleasant memory.

“Anyways…” She continued, tasting the delicate sweetness of the icebreaker. “I… understand that you want me to do something…? I’ve heard from the workers that you were a big shot and all…”

"Uh... I wouldn't call myself a big shot." Hunter said with a sheepish chuckle, "But I am a agent for a modeling agency. Which means I basically find clothes for people to wear and I get paid for it." He said trying to lighten the mood a bit. He could tell that the little girl was already having a bit of a rough time with all of this. He had to figure out how he was going to give the girl his offer. But he couldn't do it infront of the worker as that would NOT go over well.

But thankfully for him a loud CRASH was heard from outside and the lady immediately shot up. "I'll be right back. I need to make sure everyone's ok." She said rushing out, making Hunter sigh in relief.

"Ok Kuro," Hunter sighed looking at the girl. "Like I said, I'm a modeling agent and I think you would be perfect for. With how you look you are what clothing agency's would die for. So if you would like. I would adopt you and you would stay with me, you'd never have to worry about anything, and you would make some money on the side for when you get old enough." He said to the girl, probably being a bit more blunt than he needed to be. But he wanted the girl to know exactly what was going on

“I’ve been thinking about that…” She said, still focused on working her way through the sweet. “What sort of clothes would I be modelling?”

Though, to be honest, she didn’t think it mattered too much; All that mattered is that she was finally going to be free from this place! The man seemed ingenious enough to think of something like this, so she didn’t doubt his capabilities.

Well we would look through the options together before deciding anything. But it would probably be clothes for little kids maybe some toys." He told her though there were dozens of other options for stuff to model.

Hunter wasn't going to try and force the girl to do anything. So whatever she said he would go along with. But he hoped this deal sounded enticing to the girl in some way.

[Shirayuki]

“That…” She considered what he had said. After all, while she was just a tad bit older than the rest of the girls, it doesn’t mean that she couldn’t fit in them; Heck, most of the time, the clothes she wear were meant for younger girls anyways! If all she had to do was to try them on for a while, take a couple pictures, that sounded very easy to do! Plus, the clothes at the orphanage were always… drab, to say the best.

“A-Anything else? That seems a little simple…” Kuro asked, Grown ups always have some ulterior motives, after all! She thought, but with how relaxed she had gotten, her excitement was starting to poke through.
