He sighed looking at the girl. "So I keep things simple. You agree, we leave, and you get a place to stay that's not here. If you decided not to I call around pull some strings and help find a place out of here."

Kuro still had her doubts, but what more could she say in front of him? After some careful (as careful as a 10 year old can be) consideration, she made her answer.

“…Okay, I’ll do it.” She finished, nodding her head. “A-At least it’s a way out of here… so what now?”

"Sounds good." He said smiling hearing that. "Well I'll have to leave here for a few weeks, get a room ready for you, have the CPS people come in and do some looking around. But if everything is OK then we'll both get am answer if I got approved." He said to her. "Do you have any questions for me about all of this? Also for your room, what's your favorite color and what are your favorite things you'd like to see in it?"

“Questions…? I’m not really sure, to be honest…” What countless questions she had prepared to ask earlier had vanished like dust in the wind. Kuro simply couldn’t remember any of it.

The room intrigued her, however. “Colour? I… I’d guess it has to be violet…” Violet was a colour she seldom saw in the orphanage. As for her reasons for liking it, she wasn’t sure, but she has an distinct memory of an bouquet of violets, resting amidst her childhood bedroom - honestly, it might not even have been an real flower, but she cherished the memory regardless, and attributed it into an time where things were different.

“I’m not really sure… what’s in a regular bedroom.” She finished, looking a little embarrassed. “I don’t really know much, so, uh, couldn’t you help decide? If anything, the only thing I’d notably like is a large mirror…”

Kuro had always cared deeply about appearances. It was one thing that the orphanage did teach about, along with how to behave.

…Also, she would often check the mirror day after day, trying to see if she had grown taller - though, it’s been almost years of doing that with no significance. It’s more of an habit now, than anything, but a girl could dream.

Well there's a bed, a dresser, a closet, and for someone your age probably toys. I'd probably have a book shelf in there for you as well." He said to her starting to list some things off.He also took note of the color and started to get a few ideas for what to do with the little girls room. "I'll make sure to have a nice lovely mirror in the room as well."

He smiled warmly at the girls things were going a lot smoother than what he was thinking it would. He had expecting questions, haggling, bartering, and all sorts of other things. But the girl seemed so eager to get out of the orphanage he felt like if he offered her any deal she woukd leave. "Anything I need to know that you want to tell me? Anything important will be in your files, but if you'd rather tell me something personally it'll probably be less embarrassing then having to tell me in a few weeks."

“Thank you! But…” She gulped. There was an minor issue that she had, that would probably be wise to tell the man right now, but… it’s something just so embarrassing and I befitting someone her age that she really couldn’t bring herself saying to a person she haven’t met for more than a couple hours total.

She’ll think of something then! Right now, just focus on finalising the deal! Kuro started, a twinge of uncertainty in her voice. “N-Nope! Nothing else!”

Nothing?" He asked as the lady walked back in, her hair a bit messed up at this point. Clearly that whatever had outside was kind of crazy.

"Everything going OK in here?" She asked getting a head nod

"Yep we were just talking." He said looking at her and winked, "Right?"

“Yep!” She laughed, partially at what the commotion had done to the lady. She looked back towards Hunter expectantly, “What now? I think we’ve said everything that needs to be talked about!”

Yep." He said to her nodding his head, "That's it. Though we're gonna have to wait for me to get the ok for the adoption." He said to her as he stood up.

"Well I'm glad things have seemingly went well." The lady said patting Kuros head, "Maybe you'll get lucky and Mr. Hunter here will get approved. Which I'm sure he will, he seems like a nice man." She said

“I sure hope it’ll be fast!” She was practically leaping with joy with each step she took, as she hurriedly told the rest of the kids at the orphanage on what happened. It might take a while, but who cares? She’ll finally have a home to live in!
