Katara hummed quietly to herself as she began searching through the town for Toph. The two of them were supposed to meet up here, Toph had a few things she was supposed to tell Katara... Something about not wanting to have to tell someone who would write it out for her. Not necessarily a bad thing... Katara enjoyed talking with Toph, and the two of them did have some things to catch up on anyways. So she decided to come over, and figure things out with the earthbender. They were supposed to meet up at the west side of town, so that's where her search had begun. She didn't have much more with her other than her travel pack of things she had bright along when traveling with the Avatar before, so she didn't think she'd really need to get much other than food.

Toph went out of the inn she was staying at over night. The girl stared down at the ground with her blind eyes. Even though she couldn't really see she could still see the world through her Earthbending abilities, allowing her to sense people and animals walking by miles away. Right now, though, she was having a little bit of struggles herself as recently she had been through an accident. Thankfully she was able to recover but it did damage her control of her bladder so she had to wear diapers quite recently. It brought the girl down a little bit and had been miffed about it for awhile but luckily she was able to get in touch with Katara and arranged a little meeting in this very town.

She was a little bit excited to meet Katara again and yet at the same time a bit nervous because she had to tell her about what she had been through as well as her condition. She paced the streets of the town, waiting for Katara to walk by and the wait made it all the more nerve-wracking. It seemed like forever, which Toph had to guess at this point because even though she could see through Earthbending she couldn't really see anything in the air, like the position of the sun. Eventually she felt a familiar presence through her powers and immediately knew who it was. She wasn't too far so she turned around and walked towards where she knew Katara would be, although the diaper she wore made her waddle a little bit as she moved.

Katara scanned the crowd as she approached, wishing she had grown to be a little taller... Or that Toph was a little taller. Currently, most of the crowd was around their height, and Toph didn't wear anything that really made her stand... "Oh, Toph!" Katara called out as she noticed the blind girl's trademark outfit. Katara hustled over to her and gave her a quick hug in getting, before letting go.

"You look good," she smiled, walking next to Toph as they headed away from the crowd. "When I got your message, I was a little worried something was wrong..." She admitted, her tube having softened from her excited pitch earlier, "so... Is that... True?" She hoped that by promoting Toph, it'd make the conversation easier... If they had to have a conversation.

Toph knew that Katara was just on the other side of the crowd of people and waited for a little while longer to see if she could find her. The girl felt her presence go through the crowd and knew she was just footsteps away from the blind Earthbender. When Katara actually found her and hugged her Toph let out a faint, yet noticeable smile. "Great to see you, too, Katara," Toph replied, "I would say you look good, too, but I still don't know what you look like." It's true that even with Toph's ability to see through vibrations in the earth she still could not recognized certain details like facial structures or even words on a paper, still that did not bother her much. "Don't worry, it's not really big of a deal," she continued, maintaining her pride, "It was just a minor mishap and I got over....most of it." From being hugged she realized that Katara may feel padded hips on hers through the blind girl's clothing, plus the crinkling would also be a giveaway as well. "Well it would be true or not true depending on what you mean," Toph replied, still reluctant to talk about her situation.

Katara had to laugh at that, things must not be too bad if she's joking around. "That's okay, I know you mean well." She replied as a sort of filler. Her mind was a little surprised when they hugged... Something pressed against her that she hasn't felt since... She helped with children? And was that crinkling? Katara cocked her head curiously at Toph, as if trying to see through if her suspicions were correct. Not that it really mattered, just that Katara wouldn't have dreamt Toph in them in a million years.

They were still near some people, so beat to stick to generic stuff until they finally got away. "What happened, exactly? You're not bleeding or anything... And it seems like you can walk alright, nothing broken..." She pursed her lips a moment. It wasn't like Toph to write about needing someone to talk to, either, though that could be a possibility. Better to let her explain everything now though, rather than let her speculate.

The girl was still a bit sensitive over her predicament over her situation, but knew it was best to talk to Katara about it. "Well I was dealing with a bandit," Toph explained, pulling herself away from Katara a little bit, "He was causing trouble a few villages over and I was handling the situation quite fine. I could see wherever he was and he couldn't land any sneak attacks on me. However, he was an Earthbending like me and launched me into the air a little by raising the ground beneath me feet. Since I can't see in midair I got hit what felt like a boulder and was knocked to a wall." Toph paused for a minute, still a little miffed about how she, the Blind Bandit, a former champion in the Earth Rumble championships, was easily bested by another Earthbender who was actually a bandit. "Of course I was injured and had to be in some casts for awhile but I am fully healed," she continued, "Of course....there are still a few issues that I still have yet to overcome...."

That caught Katara's attention, yet she remained silent until further notice. It wasn't like Toph to be bested by anything like that, but everyone makes mistakes occasionally. "Oh my gosh! You should have written to me earlier!" Was all that Katara thought as Toph continued. "What kind of issues...? There are other healers Toph, but I'm touched you think of my skills that highly." She smirked, gently rubbing Toph's shoulder, "But in all seriousness... What other issues, what do you need help with?"

"Well I wanted to ask someone to but....I felt so embarrassed that I didn't wish to say anything," Toph said. Toph blushed a little when her shoulder was touched. She fidgeted a little to remind herself of the diaper she was wearing, and still reluctant to talk about it. However, she knew it was wise to tell Katara the truth but there was no way she wanted to say it out in the open with everyone walking all around. "I'll tell you," she said, "But I think I feel better doing so in the comforts of a more...private place."

This must have really been serious then... Toph normally didn't care too much about what others thought, well, to some extent anyways. But so much was off, Katara didn't want to press or remind Toph that healers are only meant to help. They don't care too much about anything people would find embarrassing, just because they always push past it to help. "Yeah, sure. Do you have a spot in mind, like a room or something? Or just want to try finding some place out away from it all?" She asked, glancing around, still keeping her hand on Toph's shoulder.

"Well there is this room at an inn I am staying at," Toph said, walking towards the direction of the inn, "There I'll show you what's been bothering me." They walked down the road together and found the inn Toph was staying at. She was looking down at the street the whole time because with her seismic sense ability it didn't matter which way she looked for she always had a 360 degree view of everything around her....as long as it was touching the ground. Once inside Toph used her Earthbending abilities to seal the doorway to make sure no intruder would walk in, stomping the ground as she did. "Okay, I'll show you now," Toph said, knowing from where she was standing that nobody else was near the room.
