Slowed by the fillies need to walk more carefully Applejack decided on a much faster solution. Rainbow Dash yelped when she felt Applejack's teeth grasp her tail and pulled her out. She experienced a rush of glorious speed before landing on Applejack's back.

"Up ya go." Applejack scooped up Trixie and deposited her next to Dash. "Nopony else on the road, ya should be fine an' the rough road won't hurt ya little hooves." she teased.

"AJ!" Rainbow Dash barked, gritting her teeth when Applejack just started walking again with a chuckle on her lips.

Applejack rushed her so fast onto her back that Trixie had let out that small squeal. She felt rather uncomfortable about being placed on top of her, as well as being placed within close proximity to Rainbow Dash.

"Sorry sugarcube, but ya looked like the road was gettin' a bit rough on ya, not ta mention when ya trying to hold the ice on." Applejack trotted a bit faster, being careful not to move too much for fear of knocking them off.

The two little ponies jostled as the pace, and without meaning to one of Rainbow's wings smacked into Trixiei's side.

"Ah!"

Trixie shouted when Rainbow's wing smacked into her, it caused her to loose her balance, she dropped her ice pack and tumbled off of Applejack's back and down onto the dirt road. She tried to do her best to keep from crying outright, but she couldn't stop the tears from going down her cheek.

Applejack turned when she heard the cry, nearly throwing Rainbow Dash off if the pegasus hadn't grabbed the blonde mane in front of her. "Oh sugarcube, what happened?" She picked up the icepack and pulled Trixie up, pressing it against her bruise with one hoof and rubbing her back with the other.

Trixie wiped her eyes with one of her hooves, then she pointed an accusing hoof at Rainbow.

"She knocked me off with her wing!"

She said, her younger voice quaking with anger. Fully thinking Rainbow had intentionally knocked her off of Applejack.

"What?!" Rainbow Dash lifted her head clear of Applejack's mane. Trixie was accusing HER of knocking her off?! 'She's trying to get me in trouble!' was her first though. "I didn't! She probably did it on purpose so she could blame me!"

Applejack frowned, trying to work out what had happened. As much as she didn't want to admit it, Rainbow Dash did have a habit of being thoughtlessly rude at times. Oh, if she thought she had done the wrong thing she would apologise but the rash pegasus wasn't always so good at thinking through her own actions.

Looking down at Trixie, she knew real tears when she saw them.

Rainbow Dash went on, her little voice thick with indignation. "She's just being a con-mare like she was before, I bet, trying to get me into trouble!"

Now it was Trixie's turn to scowl. How dare Rainbow accuse her of such a treachery. She had gone through all the things she had and she had been determined to turn over a new leaf.

"How dare you accuse Trixie of such lies. You did knock me off!" Trixie yelled indignantly.

"Did not! Come on Applejack, its me!"

With the fillies glaring daggers at each other Applejack tried to collect her thoughts. Sighing she picked up Trixie while sliding Dash off her back to replace the fillies. "Alright, calm down. Trixie, ya stay up there and Dash, yer gonna stay where ah can keep an eye on ya."

The look Rainbow Dash gave Applejack was of deep betrayal. "Wha-? But- but I didn't-"

"Ah'm sorry Rainbow, but ah know what ya can get like sometimes an' all this funky magic is messin' with ya. Maybe ya didn't mean to, maybe ya did, but fer now ah'm gonna keep an eye on ya." Applejack felt bad, but she couldn't bring herself to rule it out. Dash was the loyalest pony alive but she remembered clearly the Iron Pony contest as one example of how far she could go sometimes.

Looking at the ground Rainbow Dash scowled and her anger at Trixie grew. She was turning her friends against her! 'I'll get you for this.' She thought darkly.

Trixie was absolutely delighted. And she showed it with the grin on her face. Not only was Rainbow now on the ground, but Applejack believed that Trixie was right, not that she wasn't right. Also you couldn't say that she wasn't any less angry at Rainbow for having pushed her off in the first place. She was slowly forming the idea that Rainbow might be trying to cripple her.
