Simon was with his parents , he was there for his cousins birthday. He didn't really mind his cousin , he just wasn't close , really. He had a plastic cup of coke. He was at that teen aged year where anyone younger was a baby and anyone older was ancient. His cousin unfortunately was just a little younger so was in the baby category. He had moaned to his parents about coming , he didn't know anyone here. He sighed. He was a thin looking kid , rather skeletal and pale. He had a black hoodie and black jeans on , he looked like he hadn't slept in days. His hair was back and hung boyishly on his head. He wondered if he should go find his cousin and wish him happy birthday and try and not be so bored over this.

Today was Edric's birthday as he became 12 years old right now, the boy was looking so funny as his parents wanted him to wear a suit so now he stood there as the only one wearing a suit as it was also kinda too big on him since his dad had took the wrong size. Edric was feeling really bored, but he made sure to keep up a smile on his face but it was actually more a fake smile then a real one. It was more because that there was so much adults and there were not any other kids there well not yet, he hope they still come, but most of his friends had called off. Though when he saw Simon there he smiled a real smile and got over to him and then noticed how he looked like and blinked as he chuckles softly, " hey, haven't you been sleeping for some nights or something?" he teased his cousin as he was glad that the other was here, " want to go upstairs?" he asked as he was suggesting to go to his bedroom. Edric was very thin looking and most of the clothes were looking big on him even if they weren't sometimes people thought he didn't eat anything but that wasn't true he just could eat anything without his weight getting higher, he has middle long blond hair with blue / green mixed eyes and he had a tan colored body he didn't need to do too much to get tan he was really lucky at that. His hair was falling straight down with two bangs on each side, Edric never loved birthdays so much well of course he loves it when he may give his own parties and decide what to happen but not when his parents decide it then it always was boring. Edric kinda looked up to Simon as if the other was his idol even if the other was just only a little older than he was but they didn't saw each other too much and he mostly thought that Simon didn't really like to hang out with him so much since the other treat him always like as if he is a baby so that's also the reason why they weren't so close.

Simon looked up "hey" he said simply "ehh , something like that. Anyway happy birthday and all that" he said , sounding bored of it and doing it only because it was he had to do at events such as these. "Sure , we can go upstairs I guess, although I don't think there's anything up that you can;t do down here" he replied , killing the mood somewhat "but it's your birthday and I suppose it's rude to refuse. Lead the way" he said , sounding like he was being forced more than wanting to do something like this.

Edric blinked as he noticed how his cousin was acting to him as his smile really got fast off his face but he quickly put on a fake smile again but that was easy to look through, " t.. Thanks I guess " he said softly as he felt like his cousin hated him as he wonders if that was it why Simon was being like that, the boy really didn't understand it, " well but we can play games upstairs or watch a movie or something else, we can do whatever you like?" He suggested trying to do his best, though when Simon said that it surely had killed his excitedly mood, Edric nods softly as he walked upstairs to his bedroom and looked at Simon, " so what do you like to do? " he asked as he sat down on his bed kicking softly with his legs as he smiles softly.

"Hm" was Simon's only reply , he didn't hate his cousin , he just felt they had nothing in common and didn't see each other enough to try and make the effort of building bridges between them. "I don't mind" he replied , the same air of boredom and uninterest surrounding him, not getting drawn in to anything he offered. He followed him up the stairs and into his bedroom , he looked around , too bright for him , his own room was very dark by comparison , not in theme or atmosphere but in colour, this felt prominently like a child's room.He didn't know what he expected him to say or what to do , the younger boy's interests not being anything close to his own what was he supposed to talk about.

Edric looked at Simon and thought about something, " hey maybe we should hang out more often? don't you think that will be fun?" he asked as he wanted to try to build up a bond with his cousin. When they came into his bedroom he smiled at Simon, " hey what do you think about my room, it looks great right?" he asked as he rubs the back of his head and sat on his bed, " well you can come sit down on my bed as well if you want" he said with a shrug, " so what do you like to do, wanna play video games or watch a movie or go on internet or something else?" he asked giving a few suggestions, he didn't knew his cousin's interests but was curious to know them and was fine with it to do whatever his cousin wanted to do.
