A Bit of a Mind Flip (private)

(Yea , usual notice you see on every private rp , this is between me and Zenka. So read and everything but no posting.)

In the year 2014, mental health has taken a long step back. Due to the lack of key theorists like Freud and Skinner averted their skills and hence Psychology as we know it is much further back than our idea of psychological therapy. This left it to me made up of one part psychology and two parts superstition. As such , mental hospitals or Asylums had a much more medieval feel to them and a lot less transparency about them , no one wanted to get involved from civilians to government. Very much a closed doors thing.

Psychiatrist Dr Julian Graham wandered along the hallways with his assistant/nurse by his side ,Mrs Lara Brightly. Julian like to get a good look at his patients as they came in , just to get a bit of first impressions and start to think about possible treatments. Julian was a middle aged man , a little on the young side. He had been spat out of medical school and it was only a small leap into psychiatry , and since then he had been working here doing , well whatever he wanted, no one ever pressed for a enquiry. He had dulled gold hair , the colour of straw and with the shape of straw too, his eyes were a deep blue , excellent for staring down at people. His clothes consisted of a white lab coat with lime green scrubs underneath with brown shoes. Lara on the other hand was very new to this , she was just out of nursing and this was the first job that accepted her, she wore lime green in a very simple set of nurses clothes , carrying a clip board with her as she struggled to keep up with Julian's broad steps.

The pair stepped out into the rain and waited for the car with the patient to drive up the driveway to the entrance of the Asylum , Julian was just here to watch for now, Lara on the other hand was going to be in charge of the preparation for the first part at least. The van came up the long driveway ,the solid steel gates closed and the van pulled up , ready to throw the patient out into the care of the orderlies and nurse Lara.

The truck finally opened two paramedics carried out a man sedated and tied to a stretcher. The man was young, in his early twenties. He had short dark hair that looked like it had seen better hairdays.

The man had been in a big fight at a bar, he wasn't drunk but that didn't mean that the guy who lost a few teeth wasn't, since the prisons were overcrowded he was deemed into alcohol rehab in an asylum, under the guise that he had a high level of psychopathy as well.

One of the paramedics wheeled him in and locked the brakes in the lobby while the other came over to the doctor, "We will be off now, don't be too rough on the kid" he said without any emotion and returned to the car when his colleague returned

Jullian sighed , looking over the prognosis "Lara, get his ready , the usual treatment , I want him ready for a little talk around three this afternoon"
"Sure thing sir , that the hair removal , full body clean and detox"
"Hm , yes , and give his teeth a good look at , might want to take them out if he's a biter." he said heading back in , lost in his own world of thought as he went back in"
"Well , looks like we better get well antiquated" she said , going behind the bed and pushing him into the hospital.

The walls were a sickly green colour, the floors were lamanated cream and overhead was very bright lights in well regulated intervils. Lara took a sharp left and a bit off effort to get him down another hallway , they all looked the same , how she knew her way around was a mystery. Using her keycard she entered a lar white tilled room. Lara got a syringe from a panel in the wall that seemed to have all the different medicines in them. She stepped over to the boy and stuck him with the needle "that should keep you nice and relaxed for now , so don't have to call in some nice strong men to hold you down" she said in a cheery sing song voice. The woman gentily undown the straps , she had dark brown hair and dark stone coloured eyes , nearly black, she looked very good with her hair cut back.

Chris slowly started to open his eyes. He looked around him for a bit, his vision was obscure, his mind was blurry and his muscles were starting to get sore.

"Where... am i..." He said slowly before all flashed before him again; the court, the ride, the sudden sharp pain in his arm and soon after he passed out. He jolted up and tried to stand up but his legs gave away and he fell to the floor flat on his face. He looked up to see a doctor hovering over him, his plan might have worked to at least making it to the door, but with the presence of someone so close, that meant he was in big troubles

"Well good morning sleep head, but you don't belong on the floor" she said lifting him up back onto the table. Over by the side of the room was a large bath , so she turned on the hot water and ran a warm bath for him , adding a few chemicals and stirring the water a little with a wooden stick. She went back over to him and brought out a pair of scissors and started to cut away at his clothes "just remain calm. You're in an asylum , for the mentally ill. Now , I'm going to need to ask you some questions to fill out your record." she said bringing away the rags from his clothes. She tied up his hair and covered it with a waterproof shower cap , guessing he would like to keep his hair. "First question ,I need your name and description of your appearance , in case we have to put out a report , we don't take photos of patents here which cane make tracking people down a real hassle." she explained , dipping him into the water .

Chris grunted as he was pulled back up, he muscles too weak to fight back, "The mentally ill?" he said as he tried to to fight being put in the water, knowing that it could not have many positive effects with this many chemicals. "Chris Stadfield" he said and tried to hoist himself out of the bath, "Dark hair, 5 foot' 7, 176 pounds, incredibly handsome" he said with a slight chuckle at the end there

"Hm , we can leave the last one out I think , who knows who'll be retrurned to us if we put that in. Now hopefully we won;t have to use anything like that to bring you back , but you never know" she said casually."Yes , you were admitted by the court for something I assume. Eiterh way you're here now. First we've gotta get you clean" she said , getting a scrubbing brush and scrubbing at his skin, his hair coming out in clumps "this removes hair and makes sure it won;t grow their again , just makes cleaning you and catering to you just that little bit easier." she said as she scrubbed his face

Chris sighed a bit, "You don't have to be that cold" he said and looked slowly at her, "I punched a guy in self-defense and i get sent here" he said a bit annoyed and looked at the brush. He grunted a bit and did the little he could to avoid the brush, "Fine, i never liked that beard on my ass anyways" he said jokingly, a bit angry that his hair got lost on the way to his face and instead grew a mighty fine beard on his back end.

[Rye]

"Well it dosen't matter , you're heare now and that's it" she said "either way you were sent here so you just have something wrong with you or at least someone thought you were a little mad and sent you over here." she explained , lifting him out and drying him , she ran away the water and lifted him back in , taking off the cap and soaking him in the water. Lara added some bubble bath and got out a soft sponge and gently washed his body "That's good you have such a optimisitic outlook on things. Try to keep that up. Once we get you cleaned inside and out and properly dressed we can take you to see the doctor to see what's gone wrong in your head"

Chris groaned a bit, "Well i can promise you, there is nothing wrong with my head" he said as he was scrubbed again. He tried to stay still while he was being washed but it was not the most comfortable thing ever. "Optimism is hard in a place like this of all" he said slowly and looked at her. Being properly dressed was one thing, but being cleaned, inside and out, that as something that worried him
