Dinah got to work applying the protective underwear onto her hero friend. It was hardly new for her, being Botha parent and one of Barbara’s ‘helpers.’ During recovery.
“I know this feels weird, but it shouldn’t last forever.”
As she fastened the sides, Dinah spared a smirk.
“And they do make you look pretty cute.”

Dinah watched Barbara waddle. She was doing it in quick bursts, stumbling forward like, well, like a toddler. With respect to Barbara, the diaper was designed for absorbency without much taken for mobility.
Barbara wobbled and Dinah heard her voice gain the same tinge of concern she’d use in her son when he dropped a toy.
“Easy, easy. Slow down, one step at a time, Babs.”
