its a saying, its general context is along the lines of daily usage can cause damage..

for example you ware clothes, as you ware them they eventually get damaged as they get older. just like the sticker on your laptop, through its months/years? of usage damage has accumulated to make the sticker unreadable..

Well if it doesn't work or you can not find your key, You can always buy a new copy of home windows 7 oem from newegg for 100 and do that.

uh, whats the point Nanakies... why buy a new one when he already has a copy installed? l have a key finder which will grab the windows key straight from the registry which means he can reuse the code for the laptop he already owns.. why buy something one already owns?

btw. I updated to firefox 4 today and I cant load any side. I have first to disable the proxxy in the firefox settings that I can load sides again. Is this maybe a clue for you? Maybe then u know what my problem is :< ?

this is the keyfinder l used to find my windows xp code, it should work however l can prolly find a more updated one if needed.

as for the upgrade, l have heard of some issues with the latest Firefox but they are mainly down to the fact that some users dont have that great a spec on their systems.. the new firefox uses hardware acceleration, in simpler terms it uses the excess processing power of the graphics cards to bring pages etc to you faster, with regards to proxy settings l dont think they would be an issue unless you specifically edited them before for some reason or another, but by the sounds of it you may not have.

I can choose between windows upgrade and user definied installation.. both doesnt work.

might be worth knowing the model of your laptop as its possible there is some type of restore disk out there.
