The captain's new training (Private for xbuckyx)

Shining Armour trotted casually down the line of new recruits, his armour clinking quietly as he moved. He cast his gaze over each individual, observing their posture, their focus and how they wore their armour, among other things. He whistled to himself in his head. These guys looked good! They were all focused and their uniforms were pristine. Some of them even looked bigger and stronger than he was! He felt a slight twinge of nervousness, his own armour and form having gotten a little sloppy after getting the captain position. He shook his head, reassuring himself. These guys were still just recruits, and he was in charge. They'd respect his higher rank, even if he wasn't as professional as he used to be.

"Alright recruits. Congratulations on all been accepted as castle guards. Your training begins today," he started, striding up and down the ranks. "I'm your captain, Shining Armour, and I'll be overseeing your training. There are three very important things to remember about your new role. The first thing... is... umm..." Shining Armour stopped as he trailed off. What was the first thing he was meant to talk about? He squirmed in place a little, shuffling his hooves. Why did he need to pee so bad? It just must have been the nerves getting to him. "The first thing... is to always be prepared for any situation..." He continued, though a little less confidently and loud than earlier.

This was his big day. Flashing Lance, or just Lance as his friends called him, was a castle guard. He had worked hard to get to this and the fact that the ceremony was prosided over by his biggest inspiration really added to his feeling of pride. Hit was seeing Shining in action that inspired his to enter the guardhood in the first place so long ago. At the training academy Lance found outbShining had all the records in almost everything from flight to fencing. Lance did take a few of those records away, but some seemed near impossible to beat. To him Shining was always larger than life. But not seeing him he looked like kinda... small and nervous....

He'd kinda expected him to be more grand. Lance was surprised that he was actually a great deal bigger than Shining was. He was also confused by the way he was acting. Was he okay? He'd seen this kinda behavior before, but couldn't thing of where or what it meant.

Lance brushed off these feeling and maintain his alert pose at near the head of the group. He'd soon be up on stage to get him be given his validictorian award and give a small acceptance speach.

Shining Armour continued mumbling his way through his introductory speech, trying his best to hold his aching bladder. He kicked himself mentally, cursing how disorganised he'd been. If he had just gotten up a little bit earlier, rather than sleeping in, he'd have been fine. But now here he was, stuck making his speech, with no way to relieve himself. He had to stay focused and professional in front of the new recruits though.

Shining was so focused as he finished his speech, trying to remember what to say and hold it at the same time, he wasn't focused on where he was going. There was a slight dip in the cobblestone in front of him, his hoof finding air where he thought there was solid ground. He didn't stumble much, but his eyes went wide. He felt a dribble of pee come out, dripping onto the ground. He scrambled back where he was, using his hooves to hide the drops and trying to look composed. He could feel his face burning, praying that nobody noticed his slip up.

"And now... over to Flashing Lance for his valedictorian speech," he managed to choke out.

Lance hopped up out of his seat really excited about the speech. He strutted up onto the stage and gave a big smile to the clapping crowd. This was his big moment and he was the star.

As he got close to Shining on the stage he extended his hoof towards the captain of the guards. Getting to shake hands with his inspiration was a real treat even if he was acting kinda strange. He reached for the other pony's hoof, but he slipped on something.

A very small bit of water on the floor took his hooves out from under him and he lost his standing position. His face went slamming into the floor of the stage and into another small bit of water.

The crowd erupted into laughter just as the pony caught the scent of the liquid he'd slipped on and was now on his bruised face. A sent that told him it wasn't water at all. He then looked up at the pony in front of him who was using the podium to hide a little accident.
