There was the reaction Leo had been expecting from the start...Ironically, when his hands moved on their own to cover him as the dress was taken off him quickly, Leo wound up covering his chest rather than his diaper, leaving Belle, Cinderella, and Ariel to smile and wave at his Mom. Now he had no secrets at all, and he looked down, ashamed.

"I...I don't have any excuse, Mom..." He whispered, starting to cry again.

"Go stand with your nose in the corner" Renee told him with a hard slap to her son's diapered behind. "I-I can't deal with you right now, so you had better not let that nose leave that corner!"

Leo meekly did as he was told, feeling like a wreck; he'd just completely lost his mother's respect, bringing the official number of people who liked him back down to zero once and for all.

Oddly enough, from behind with no clothes on besides the cutesy diaper and the hair bow from earlier, Leo did not look remotely masculine without his chest to give him away...the fact wouldn't have been of any comfort to Leo, who was silently crying his eyes out in the corner out of fear and shame.

Renee walked downstairs to the kitchen to sit at the counter. She sighed and lit up a cigarette she found in a drawer. She had quit smoking recently and was now down to the times she was REALLY stressed out. She thought about everything that happened and suddenly a feint smirk appeared on her face as she grabbed a pen and began to scribble down on a sheet of paper.

Leo remained in his corner, wiping his eyes but unable to stop crying.

He didn't leave the corner, even though this meant he had to use his diaper instead of going to the bathroom; he just stood there as the thick padding absorbed it all.

"I'm pathetic..." He murmured.

Renee stopped writing and sat back, taking a drag off of her cigarette and smiling to herself. She had wondered how to deal with this situation, but it now seemed it would take care of itself. She put the cigarette out and headed upstairs.

"Sweetie?" she called opening the door, "I want to talk to you" Renee sat down on the bed
"I'm sorry for getting mad earlier, but I thought about all of this and I have a solution." Renee handed Leo the paper as he sat on the bed with a squish. "If your going to do this there are going to be some new rules, but if you can't live by my new rules then you won't touch another diaper again"

Renee smiled on the inside as Leo read the rules she made to make the experience as bad as possible:

1. You are now 18 months old and will be treated as such. You may walk some, but you will crawl in the house. This also means no age-inappropriate material ie Games, food, toys, etc.
2. You will wear a diaper 100% of the time, and will use it for it's intended purpose.
3. You will be changed like any other baby. I will check your diaper and will change it only when I think you need it. Asking me to change you or telling me that you have used your diaper will result in a punishment. (This does not include crying)
4. I am your care-taker, this means you will do nothing for yourself and I will clothe, feed, bathe and change you.

Leo looked at the paper, reading it thoroughly, and then looked at his mother in shock, not able to believe what he'd just read. He'd been expecting his mom to be furious, to yell at him and probably drag him off to a therapist to try and get him to stop doing this, but she'd gone so far the other way...

At the same time, Leo knew this wasn't a reward, nor was it intended to be; it was still a punishment. He'd been sneaking around behind his mom's back to play his little dress-up games, and now his mom was giving him exactly what she'd found him indulging in while she was out...except that Leo didn't get to put away the diaper and dress after an hour or two were up and go back to whatever he'd been doing. His life was still functionally over, it had just been replaced unexpectedly by a one-year-old's...unless he could really bring himself to give up on his little dress-ups forever. Leo also noticed that the agreement only extended so far as diapers...his mother had made no rule suggesting he was ever going to touch a dress again.

Still, something strange happened in Leo's head as he looked down at the damp Disney Princess diaper. He looked up at Renee.

"O-Otay, Mommy..." He said in a faint, weak voice, nodding.

Renee hugged Leo and began rubbing his back, slowly her hand went to the waist band of his diaper. "You're a little wet" she commented pulling it back. "but I din't think you need a change until you make a poopie on yourself" Renee noticed Leo's hair bow and looked over to the dress she had yanked off of him. "It seems Leo won't work as a name for you anymore" she said thinking, "How about Leanna?" she asked at length.

For Leanna, it was like the sun had risen inside.

Just what she'd seen, and Renee had put together what was going on inside of Leanna this whole time.

Finally...

...finally...

...finally, someone had acknowledged the girl Leo had seen when he looked in the mirror every day.

Sobbing with joy this time, Leanna nodded, hugging her mommy tightly. She couldn't even speak to express her joy beyond the fierce embrace, but it dawned on Leanna that she was only an 18-month-old girl; she was too young to be talking yet. She'd have to hope Mommy was able to understand without words.

"Shhh, hush now baby girl...." Renee whispered softly in Leanna's ear "you chose this... this is your life now"

Renee was still under the impression that giving Leanna no escape from the diapers and dresses would soon have her begging to be released. She hadn't figured that they were in themselves an escape for her. At this point she was totally in the dark about Leanna's true feelings.
