Surprise knew she was the princess's pupil? Considering the scene she made that day, who knew how many people saw her. "You know about that, huh?" she said, a little flustered but smiling. It was a really good thing she hadn't worn pullups to that audition, or now all of Canterlot would know about them. "I guess I know some magic," she said. There was no need to boast. "But why do you need to know combat spells? My parents said I should avoid fighting whenever I can." She knew that magic could be used to hurt ponies, but why would she want to do that?

"Yeah, I saw how you did all those spells and explosionpded the roof!" Surprise giggled cutely, "Well my mommy always told me," she put on a posh sounding accent, "A lady must never look for. Fig, but if one finds her, she must know how to defend herself." She coughed, "See."

Surprise's energy was contagious, and Twilight giggled too. Surprise was turning out to be a fun pony to be around. "Your mom sounds funny," she said. "Maybe you could teach me that combat magic sometime? I want to see what you can do." Her need to pee was getting stronger, and she wiggled in her seat to avoid an accident. First thing as soon as she got to school, she was finding a bathroom, stat.

Surprise grinned, "I'd love to, maybe at lunch or any breaks." She enjoyed teaching ponies new things, and loved meeting them. The alabaster filly then noticed that Twilight was squirming, and easily guessed whatnot meant. "Uh, Twi, if you have to go, there's a bathroom in the back of the bus." She whispered, pointing to a door that was attached to a closet like part near the back of the bus.

Twilight wasn't sure how much longer she could hold it. "Oh really? Thanks!" She set her bag on her seat and cantered to the back of the bus and slipped through the door.

As soon as she stepped into the bathroom, the smell of chemical cleaning agent overwhelmed her and stung her sinuses. The toilet was just a seat with a hole in it, (understandable, she thought, since there was no running water,) there was no sink, and she was currently stepping in a puddle where a little colt had missed the hole while trying to go standing up.

One of the biggest obstacles Twilight had faced toilet training was using public restrooms. They were always messy and improperly maintained, unlike the neat bathrooms her parents kept. Often, using them felt inherently wrong to her on some level, and the filthiness of this one didn't help matters at all. She felt like the walls were closing in on her, the fumes rising up from the toilet seat suffocating her. If she tried to pee in there, she felt like it would kill her.

She turned around and left, sitting back down next to Surprise. "I'll just go when we get to school," she said. She was pretty sure they were almost there.

(I'm thinking they're immediately pulled into an assembly that introduces them to the school and their schedules, so she doesn't have time to go?)

Surprise smiled, "Yeah, the bathroom here is pretty bad, but the bathrooms are school, from what my mommy told me, are really nice." She talked her foreleg as the school came I to view. She trotted off with the rest of the students, a few of the teachers herded them into a presentation introducing the school. The principal called each of them up to introduce themselves. Finally, the headmaster called out. "Twilight Sparkle."

As soon as they got inside, Twilight broke from the rest of the group and dashed down the hallway, desperate to find the nearest bathroom. But seconds after her search began, her hooves lost traction as she was lifted up in a magic field. She spun in the air as she was pulled back to the main group by a somewhat pudgy plum-colored unicorn proctor. The strange weightless sensation was almost enough for her to have an accident, but somehow, she kept it in.

"Don't stray," said the proctor, her voice flat and harsh in a way that Twilight knew meant her word was final. "You have an orientation to go to. You'll learn all about this school and get your schedule there." She set her back down, and Twilight hobbled after the rest of the group, squeezing her hind legs together so she wouldn't have an accident.

She sat down next to Surprise and rocked in place, desperate to avoid peeing herself on the first day of class. When her name was called, she ran up to the stage. She looked out at the crowd while hopping up and down. "Uh, hi?" she said, and that was all the introduction she gave before she ran back to her seat next to Surprise.

It was too much. She was curled up into a ball, but nothing was helping. Her bladder muscles were sore. She had never given them a workout quite like this before. She felt her muscles relax against her will. She could hear a faint dribbling sound, and a slick pool of pony pee began spreading out from under her.

Surprise smiled once the presentation was over. That was when her ears perked up. They detected a faint hissing and trickling sound. She sniffed, the smell of ammonia hung in the air. She looked over to Twilight, and her eyes widened when she saw the puddle groaning beneath her new friend. She discreetly levitated a small tower from her bag, band placed it over the puddle, absorbing it's contents. She smiled reassuredky at her friend.

Twilight felt like her heart had stopped. This couldn't be happening. But the presentation was ending and hopefully she could get out of here before anyone noticed. She looked around and caught Surprise pulling out her towel. She blushed and skittered away to distance herself from the puddle.

But Surprise didn't look mad. In fact, she looked pretty understanding, like she was trying to cheer her up. And then Twilight saw her clean up the puddle with her towel, and it finally clicked that she was helping her. She stood up and tried to look strong, but she was shaking. "Thanks," she mouthed. Then she ran away, out of the auditorium and down a hall at random. She couldn't stand to be around Surprise after she knew about her accidents. What if she tried to make fun of her?

The headmaster gVe em their schedules, saying they would go home at the end of each day, unless notified before, then they would stay in the dorms. That done, Surprise dashed off to the hall Twilight had scampered off to, alone. "Twilight? Are you OK? I'm not mad." She called out, trotting around, "Please come out, I'm not gonna laugh."
