Cer, Doe, and July's Crinkly Adventures (PRIVATE: GLaDOS, iamjohndoe)
July let out a long yawn as he dropped his cardboard sword on the soft carpet of Cer's family room. The light that shined through the windows was slowly starting to dim and be replaced with light that came from the street lamps outside. Quickly, the colt picked up his cardboard toy off the floor before any of his two friends noticed. The truth was that July was sort of tired. Being the little colt he was he, didn't want to admit it to his friends, especially Doe, but a nap sounded really nice right now. The thing was though, was that he wasn't usually like this. He slept well for the last few nights, so why was he sleepy? Well, when a house was starting to get dark like this, it made him feel like he should be sleeping. That, and how hungry he was right about now. Dinner was surely supposed to be here by now, but his friends parent hasn't come home yet. Maybe his friends have noticed? Maybe they were as hungry? Because it was slowly starting to get to July, and put him to sleep.
The colt watched Cer and Doe. Two young colts who argued who should win a battle in a game they were playing. They just referred to it as "The Royal Guard Game". July didn't really know what about, most likely about which guard they were pretending to be was better, but July usually never intervened. He always played the weaker of the group, only having a cardboard cut-out as a weapon. His friends were the ones with the cool stuff, but he didn't mind. He'd rather just stay out of the fighting. One detail was noticeable on all his friends though, and that was their diapers. Doe and Cer both had on white garments, still puffy and white as snow since they were still dry. This was common. Any pony without a cutie mark usually was either potty trained by now, or not. For these three, including July, they were not trained and were looked down upon horribly in school for it. So it was no surprise that these 3 young colts came together as friends in their class because of their problem. Today was just supposed to be a day spent together, then a fun sleepover at Cer's house, since his parent seemed so accepting of it. His mom changed them, fed them, and entertained them, but she went out awhile ago to go get some ingredients for dinner. She hadn't come back though... July was bothered by it, but nobody else was.
July sighed, taking a few steps to stretch his legs that were slowly falling asleep. With it came the crinkling of his diaper that he had grown very used to. He waited for his friends to come to a decision, as he stared out the window at the falling twilight. He hoped the caretaker of the three would be home soon. His stomach growled and he was feeling a need to urinate from all the soda he drank earlier.

"Nuh uh!" shouted Cer. "There's no way Commander Hurricane would lose a fight to Mare-Do-Well! You're cheating!" He was a petite chestnut colt with a lighter brown mane that bunched up and waved back and forth when he moved. He was hungry too, but wasn't going to be the first one to complain. His mom usually wasn't away this long, but if he freaked out and everything turned out to be alright, he worried they wouldn't let him forget it.
Right now, he was standing valiant at the head of his army, which included a sofa pillow, (which represented former Royal Guard Captain Shooting Star,) a Jack of Diamonds from an oversized deck of playing cards, (this one was Mare-Do-Well), and Cer himself, who was the famous feline explorer, Juan Ponce de Lion.
Facing him a few feet away was his nemesis, his archenemy, his greatest threat, Jackal the Ripper (also known as Doe the fawn), with his followers Commander Hurricane (played by an empty soda can) and Daring Do (played by an actual Daring Do book.)
"What are you talking about, Cer? Mare-Do-Well has all her awesome gadgets. There's no way she could lose!" Doe wasn't about to take a challenge to his rep lying down. His coat was splotched different shades, a mosaic distraction from his stubby horns that were only beginning to grow in. He wasn't nearly as hungry as his friends, but that was just because he'd filled up on junk food. Unfortunately, it was making him a little queasy.
"That's just because Mare-Do-Well came so much after her! If they fought at the same time, Commander Hurricane would totally kick her butt!"
"Tiebreaker?" asked Doe.
"Tiebreaker." It seemed like a fair compromise.
"Hey July!" they shouted simultaneously, and Doe continued. "Mare-Do-Well fights Commander Hurricane. Who wins?"
(I may have neglected to mention this in the messages, but Doe's not his real name, but a nickname. Originally some other kids called him "Doe" because he looked like a girl deer, but he made it a nickname so they couldn't use it to insult him anymore. His real name is Cole, but no one calls him that but his family.)

July took in a deep breath, looking inbetween the two. He didn't want either of them to think differently of him, so he tried to answer in a way that both heroes won. He was a super hero he made himself, Captain Thunder, who had the power to wield lightning in his hooves. A big role that July made small by being the neutral pony in all the fights. He had his true opinion, that it seemed Commander Hurricane would win, but then he thought back to how smart and clever Mare-Do-Well was, and that she would probably find some way out of Commander's superior strength.
"Uh... I don't know, they are kinda even. I was thinking that they could form a alliance or something? Because both of them are sorta powerful in their own ways" July smiled awkwardly

"Mare-Do-Well wouldn't form an alliance," declared Cer with absolute certainty. "She works alone."
"But it looks like she made an alliance with Shooting Star and that Lion guy," said Doe. What had started as fun banter was heating up; Doe wasn't going to lose this one.
"At least my teamup makes more sense. You can't have Daring Do on your team. She's not even real!"
Cer seemed pretty steamed about it too. It was time to bow out. "Let's take a break," said Doe. "Besides, who would they even form an alliance against? It's only us." He skipped over to the fridge and grabbed a couple more sodas. "Want another one?" he asked July. "You seem addicted to these things."

"I don't want another sugar rush" He admitted "I kinda drank a lot already, and I'm starting to get sick of it"
July walked over to the two and sit down on a chair. He sighed, noticing how dark the house was getting. He was surprised Cer didn't even notice how long his mom was gone. That was one thing July did, was worry about things too much. Where usually he'd be a happy, jumpy, and hyper colt around these friends, after the sugar rush he had earlier he was more anxious and nervous. He took a bottle of water from the fridge and went back to his seat.
"Hey Cer... Uh, what was your mom getting from the market again? She's taking a awful long time...."
( Gtg for a bit... Even though we just started. I'm sorry, I'll be back in a bit )

Cer flopped onto the floor next to July's chair. His tongue slipped out the side of his mouth and hung there. "I don't know. Probably just usual stuff."
"Quit worrying," said Doe, before cracking open the soda and taking a gulp. "Cer's mom is fine. She's just a little late. Besides, if she is late, that's good news. It means we're unsupervised. We can do whatever we want."

July blinked, looking back at his flank "Umm, let's not forget who's going to change us? Feed us too... I'm getting kind of hungry". He sighed, jumping down from the chair and laying by Cer with a smile. He was worrying too much. He should just be having a fun time with his friends instead of over thinking.

Doe took July's place in the chair, nestling into its malleable bean-baggy softness. "We can feed ourselves. We're not babies, you know. How hard can it be to cook something?" He rolled off the chair and on top of July. "We can be totally in charge, July. No rules. No one to get in our way. We're our own masters now, like a herd of savages." He didn't mention the question of who would change them, because he didn't want to think about that right now. "Everything will work itself out. Why, you hungry?"

July looked around, then rolled over on his stomach "Yeah, I'm kind of hungry. But we should wait until we're really hungry until we actually try to cook something. For all we know, she could be back any minute" He yawned, stretching his back hooves before continuing "And as for being our own bosses, I really think we should still follow some of the rules. We don't want to do too much, because if Cer's mom comes back in, we'll be dead"

"You're so boring, July." Doe slid off of July and watched the ceiling. "But I guess we can do it your way. Figure out which rules we wanna keep."
"Like a constitutional convention!" said Cer, his eyes sparkling at the prospect.
"What?" Doe sat up to look at Cer. "Lame. I propose Rule One: July is boring and Cer is lame."
