Chain Links (For me and Rika
Helena, Hel, for short was a up and coming new agent working with the police team to investigate a string of crimes happening in the city. There have been outbreaks recently in the city concerning some local gangs and some more higher, well off, groups, these were the people Hel was tracking and targeting, trying to get into the hive mind rather then focusing on the little gangs. The other police officers and agents were busy focusing on the gangs for information, rather then digging around for anything else. Hel, was giving the following brief by her commander.
Brief:
Investigate a string of crimes in the city.
Keep a close eye on any strange activity in the police department.
Trust no one in the department it has been confirmed earlier by other reports that some people in the police department are working for the criminals and vice verse.
Gather evidence on those that are deemed suspicious.
Find out the leads connecting the police and the criminals.
If found out or caught, run.
If unable to run, don't say anything, don't do anything, don't move.
If the situation becomes to much to handle, kill yourself.

Hel, sitting in her one bedroom apartment complex sighed, this was complicated and dangerous. This wasn't her first dangerous mission but it was the most dangerous yet, no one has yet succeeded in taken down the criminals in the city and the ones who escape came back broken. A few had also been diagnosed with Stockholm syndrome. Hel, just couldn't imagine it, what could happen or might happen, if she was ever caught or found out.
Turning her attention away from the mission summery she had received a couple of months ago, she picks up a brown envelope that she had gotten this morning, it was night time now and tomorrow was going be a huge clash. Holding the envelope, she ripped it open and pulled out the piece of paper from her adviser. Hel, reading it, shook her head and re-read it, again and again until it made sense, it didn't make any sense.
Brief 2
The plan has changed.
We have someone on the inside.
We need you to get captured and join this person.
If possible try and capture someone from the other team as well, this will be use as a barging tool to get you out.

That doesn't sound right. thought Hel, shaking her head, it felt wrong. This didn't feel like the message the commander would give, not at all but it was also an order and throughout her training she had learnt one thing, always take an order when it's giving to you, no matter what or who, it makes the situation less dangerous and gives connection, never think to much, never examine, just do what you've been told to do.
Yet that night, she couldn't sleep, she felt ill and sick as her alarm rang out at 6am, calling out for her to get ready and to get dressed for work. She felt tired, sore and strange, nothing felt right about today but as she dressed and walked out the door, she looked back at her apartment complex with nausea as she walked towards the station ready to be brief and giving the call to go on.
If she wasn't sure before, she is now.
It was a suicide mission.
