The raptor narrowed his eyes and looked over Za'kar. "Are you sure you're an adult Velociraptor and not a Deinonychus hatchling?"

He then sighed and rubbed his muzzle with a clawed hand. "Nevermind that," he said. "Well, the main benefits you get are protection, a wider array of goods to sell -- from buying them from us, of course -- and assured buyers for anything 'interesting' you stumble across. Oh yeah, you also get a sweet uniform with with medals and shit."

The raptor then smiled a distinctly predatory grin. "Of course, for a little extra, we also got info brokers. Now obviously, these benefits don't come for free. You gotta pay up if you wanna see any benefits. Fall too far behind payments and we'll take your stuff to cover costs."

He then tapped his footclaws against the concrete. "As for leaving voluntarily or getting ejected, you must return your uniform and medals. Don't return them and we'll forcibly take them. Oh, one last thing, if you snitch, we will send you into a world of shit."

(OOC - I imagined this organization to be a mix between the Chinese Triads, Latin drug cartels and outlaw biker gangs.)

Za'kar sort of frowned at that first comment on his potential age. That kind of stung him a little bit. Surely, he didn't come off as that childish did he? Oh no he was starting to become a little self conscious at a rather bad time.

"Firstly," He started, "Excuse me for being who I am. I can't help it." Rude. "Secondly, this all sounds pretty nice... Is there some sort of catch that you're holding from me? I don't imagine this sort of stuff is easy, even with a big organization or something on your side, and that's form my experience as a lone dealer. Oh, and what kind of payments do we have to make?"

The raptor was nonplussed by Za snapping at him. "Well...it's not much. Just a 5,000 credits a year. But if you want info brokers, well...you gotta pay them too. Oh, we also have an initiation ceremony before you can get all the goodies."

He then reached into his bags and passed Za'kar a little card. "Here's the place. It's in the Commercial District. See ya!"

Said raptor then scampered off and quickly melted into the crowd.

Za'kar would take the card and examine it just as the raptor started off. He was kind of surprised that he even got this. He was expecting to be questioned on some stuff first. Who knows, maybe he'd find out a little more when he went there. For now though, he was going to enjoy the rest of his break and then get back to work.

"What a swell guy." He said to himself with a small smile.

James had just gotten back from lunch. He entered his workstation and checked his computer inbox. The Human sighed; he had to attend a meeting in an hour about ways to improve diapers...and curb their misuse.

"Fucking hell," he muttered. "They've tried every goddamn thing imaginable. And it still hasn't worked."

Oh well, as long as they were paying him, he didn't give a shit what they did.

It was here that there was a slight knock on his door, which had opened. The person there looked oddly familiar. Prosthetic mask and everything. They were actually dressed like one of the guards that worked at the place. A rather intimidating look, more or less.

"Didn't expect to see you here again." Then they decided to cut to the point, "But since you're here, I have an off to make you." Well, so much for formalities.

James turned around to see the same man -- at least he looked like him -- from yesterday's work at the Lethuai Night Market.

"I'm a little busy right now, actually," he said. "But I have a bit of time before my meeting. Anyways, what's your offer?"

James nudged the door to his workstation shut with his foot.

He peeked around him as to see if anyone was listening in. Then he nodded lightly, "Simple," He said, "I came to you because I wanted to be sure that I saw what I saw. You clearly are a dealer of less than legal things." Then he went on to say, "To keep it simple: I'm part a group. A special one at that. They can make your second job a whole lot better and easier if you're a part of it."

James narrowed his eyes. Something that good never for free. "Okay," he said. "But I know these types of organizations have a catch. What is it?"

He looked at the clock on the wall. Almost time for the meeting. Oh well, he could claim that he was using the bathroom. On second thought, maybe it was better for the security of his job if he could get this man away from him as fast as possible.

"Anyways, it was nice meeting you. Do you have a card or something? I might check it out later."

"I suggest that you don't delay on this one if you hope to actually get somewhere in life." The guard said and went ahead and proceeded to toss a small card out in front of him on the table. "We'll be expecting you." And with that said, he left the room.
