James exited the bathroom, still in his pajamas as he had chosen simply to wash up and use the toilet instead of bathing.

"All yours," he said, pushing the door open. He didn't seem to care that his partner had a poofy white diaper wrapped around his rump. Judging from its plain white coloration, it was a diaper intended for an adult Velociraptor and not a hatchling diaper for a larger species.

"Thanks." Za'kar said, having back away from the door so James could step out. Once he was out of the way this time, and not blocking him from absolute failure, the Velociraptor stepped right on it and would get to doing his business in there. Looks like he got lucky this time with the whole padding thing.

(Idea: Maybe at some point, they kind of get their bill in the mail or something and find out things went up. To make matters worse, the police are kind of cracking down on the whole illegal trading thing in their portion of town as some effort to bring some good into it for people. With those two problems, perhaps they find paying for things to be a little more difficult than they'd like, even with their new job. Then Za'kar offers another way for them to get money: Basically being what was called a "Poofstitute.")

(OOC - I like it. Maybe James tries it and fails miserably. Eventually, he moves up into more dangerous and violent tasks like smuggler; illicit manufacturer of poof and other goods; or even saboteur.)

James decided to go get breakfast prepared while his roommate freshened up. As he checked his phone, he was informed that he was on unpaid leave while they repaired the damage to their factory. He swore as he got up from the microwave where some meat was defrosting and over to the front door. He opened it, letting the stink of cigarettes into their apartment. There was the usual junk mail and a warning from Lethuai PD about gang activity in the area. He shrugged and tossed the whole mess into the recycling bin.

Meanwhile, his stomach was growling and he headed over to the stove and got to work making some scrambled eggs for himself.

Za'kar was quick to use the bathroom and then get himself cleaned up. Upon leaving the bathroom, he still had the diaper on, mainly because he didn't see why he should take off quite yet as he didn't think they were leaving yet. After a short moment, he too would be in the kitchen, scouring the fridge for any scrap of meat they had left over. As he did this, he asked James, "Anythinf in the mail? Like a bill or something?" He asked.

"Just junk mail," James replied as he finished plating his scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. "Do we need to buy more meat or anything?"

He then noticed Za'kar was still diapered and smiled. "Gonna wear that all day?" James poured himself a cup of steaming hot tea. As he sat down to eat, he pondered something.

What was going to be asked of the duo when they arrived for work? Hopefully they weren't going to ask the duo to track down and kill the shopkeeper they raided yesterday. But that possibility seemed remote given how the enforcer who accompanied them didn't seem to think they were ready for such a task.

"Yeah, this is kind of the last of the meat in there." He said as he took a bite out of it at the table once he got it on a plate. Then he lightly smirked, blushing a little bit. "Yeah... Unless we have to head out or something." He said. "Then it comes off because I don't feel like being shoved into a jail cell."

Then he decided to get some water as he felt kind of parched. "Anything we need to worry about with that junk mail though? You know there's always something you miss when you just throw it out." He said.

(Should they get the heads up that the price of their stay in the apartment is increasing right about now or later?)

James shrugged. "Go check if you want." He took a sip of his hot tea. The sound of his partner's diaper crinkling as he sat down seemed to drown out the clinking of cutlery and ceramic.

As he finished his meal, he pondered if they had time to go shopping before they reported to work.

"Anyways," he said as he got up and put the dishes to soak in the sink. "Why do you like wearing diapers?"

Za'kar was a little slower with finishing his meal. However, once it was done, he looked to James and said, "I'm not going to check, for one, and for two: I like wearing them because they feel nice, I guess. It makes me feel awkward to be in them again, but physically, they feel nice." Then he got out of his seat, leaving the plate on the table.

"So anything special planned for the day? Or is it just another go-to-work-and-hope-to-not-get-arrested day?" He asked

James finished washing his plate and took Za's plate and washed it as well. He shrugged at Za'kar's justification for wearing poof. "It feels good" was a justification for pretty much everything from doing drugs, to wearing poof, to partying until 5 AM.

"We're probably going to do the usual stuff," he said as he dried his hands on a nearby towel. "We're going to see what job we get at the company. Maybe we'll get a performance review."

"Anyways," James continued. "I'm going to change into my uniform and get my gun."

Za'kar nodded lightly and said, "Sounds good. I'll be waiting for you by the door." He said. Then he would walk off, likely to go get the uniform, which he had removed over night, and take off that diaper before he forgot. If he walked into public with that thing on, no only would he be in a lot of trouble, but he'd just feel so humiliated. Being in an alleyway is one thing, being out in the open for everyone with an open eye to see is another.
