Crinkle Cartel [Reboot] (Silvertip and Circuit-Jay)

James nodded as the prospective buyer mentioned wanting something "big and for a feathered friend".

He reached under the table and pulled out a plastic bag and opened it, revealing a fern leaf patterned Utahraptor sized diaper along with a bottle of baby powder. "This goes for 8k," he said in a whisper. "But I could throw in some rash ointment for an extra fifty."

When the man asked about the ones who knocked over his stand, James scratched his head. "A Utahraptor razorgal and a Human bladeboy. Silver kerchiefs and motorcycle riding gear. I didn't get a good look at their faces."

"Anyways, how much impact wine you want?" James asked.

The compy swished her tail slightly. "Erm, I only need five of the 'Vynes'," she said. "But you got anything a bit cheaper?"

(OOC - Have you considered what to name the currency and what it corresponds to in US dollars?)

"Just two bottles." He said, taking a back pack off of his back. It was empty, having enough room for the diaper and the bottles of wine he had wanted. In his pocket he pulled out a chip and said, "This has the money on it. 10k to be exact. Consider it me being generous and means of saying "Thank you" for the info."

He would place that on the stand just then and simply wait to be hand what he had asked for.

Za'kar had to think for a moment. James probably would want them to earn a lot of money, so he probably wouldn't be too happy about him making cheap sells. Last thing he wanted was to be yelled at, or hit over the head with a frying pan or something. He did have some cheaper, much cheaper even, but... Not only was it not really as strong, but it it was kind of not worth much so...

"No... No. If you can't make the payment though, I suggest thinking of coming back when you have some more money or thinking of an alternative way of paying." Za'kar was trying to be nice here by saying to have an alternate way of pay. And he didn't tell her to shop elsewhere because, well, compared to a lot of other dealers, he was one of the safer ones... Kind of. Za'kar was a bit of a pervert sometimes, but still a very generous, so she probably wouldn't have to do anything too extreme if he asked for something like that.

James placed the two bottles of the wine onto the table. He placed the plastic bag onto the table as well.

"Thank you kindly," he said. "There's a little something 'extra' in the bag for your friend." James was referring to the small vial of lavender scented baby powder Za'kar had gotten him.

He took the credit chit and tucked it into his pocket.

The compy hissed. "Fine! Just get me some of the Vynes then!"

She then snorted as she sniffed the backpack again. "What else you got?"

He nodded lightly and said, "Just between you and me, I asked about those Razor people because I like to deal with them sometimes." And with that said, the guy left.

That may have been someone who showed up on the news quite a few times. Reports of some of those gang members winding up in some pretty bad situation sometimes. No one really knew who exactly was playing clean up, or vigilante, to varying degrees, but something was for sure; that was a bit of a hint. And whoever it was really took it to the extreme sometimes.

"Hey, hey, no need to get hissy with me. You're fine. Also, I don't give someone something until I see the money." He said, pulling the bag away from her and smirking lightly. "And what else are you looking for?"

(I usually just stick to calling it credits, and since it's in the future and is the universal sort of currency, I'd imagine that the US dollar isn't worth much of anything now because it isn't used anymore.)

James shrugged. As long as his customer paid him, he didn't give a shit about what they did.

He watched the crowd go by, hoping his goods would catch someone's eye.

"It's for a friend of mine," the compy said as she eyed the bag. "He's looking for something to spice up his love life."

She reached into her bag and showed Za the credit chit. "This enough to cover everything?" she asked, waving under the raptor's muzzle.

It may have taken a little while, but eventually a Utahraptpr, fully grown, had come up to his stand. Nothing seemed off about them, so probably just some normal person. They wore a jacket fitted for their kind.

Za'kar chuckled lightly. "Oh, trying to get the future version of viagra or something?" He looked off to the side and said, "What a little cheater." Then he rummaged around in his bag for a moment and pulled out s zip lock containing some pills. "These things right here should help out just fine."

"Also, how much does it have on their, Vyres goes for 5k and these," he gestured to the bag of pills, "go for 2K more."

James looked over the large predator. The raptor seemed to be interested in something. "May I help you?" he asked. At the same time, he kept his muscles ready for action in case it was a robbery. That was always a risk in places like Lethuai's grungy street markets.

The compy licked her teeth as she laid eyes on the Vynes. The smooth green capsules practically shimmered like emeralds under the brilliant white light of the billboards above.

Her glow of euphoria was suddenly stopped by Za quoting how much she was charged for the baggie of some off-white pills that looked like pieces of blackboard chalk. "Wait, 2 grand for those things!? How about 1.5 grand?"

(OOC - I'd imagine Viagra would be a controlled drug in this 'verse with legit medical uses and high abuse potential.)

"What are you selling? I know you aren't just selling wine because that stuff isn't really all that popular anymore." Well, this person seemed like the nicest person ever now didn't they? Didn't sound like they were aiming to rob him or anything. Well, not yet anyways.

"And what exactly do you have in it for me that would make me lower the price?" He asked. "Because unless you can offer something else in trade, the little sex drug here is not going to be a part of our deal." Za'kar said, deciding to go ahead and assert himself then and there.

(I imagine the same, but he was simply joking around about it.)

"Depends on what you're looking for," James replied. He was seated so the table concealed his handgun and his right hand resting on it. He watched the Utahraptor closely as the crowd passed along.

The raptor seemed friendly but James was aware that he was dealing with a polar bear sized predator...and one that seemed to have an interest in him. As a result, he was on high alert.

The compy turned to Za'kar and raised her tail, exposing her cloaca. "This enough for you?" she asked. "It worked for all of my professors at Lethuai City Community College."

The Utahraptor was looking him over for a nice long while, immediately picking up on the tension between them. Eventually they said, "I heard you were dealing some questionable stuff, so I wanted in on it..." Okay, so another person who was interested in something else other than what was shown. More money in his pocket, right?

Za'kar's eyes did widen for a moment as he wasn't actually expecting her to do that so soon. He would say, "I dunno, is that all you're going to give?" He asked with a chuckle. Then he would quickly wave a claw at her and go, "I'm just kidding, that's enough, no need to go all the way for this. I'm not some needy horn dog... I think. Anyway, sure, I'll lower the price for you."

After that, he would proceed to gather what she wanted in a little paper bag. Since she had ordered multiple things. Then he said, "Give me the money and you get the stuff."
