Rarity shook her head, finally getting to Sweetie's room. "Now now Sweetie, it's time for you to go to bed and you know it." She explained, placing Sweetie belle on the bed and pulling the covers over her. "A filly like you needs her sleep, plus when you wake up in the morning, Spike will be here to play with you and you may be able to walk around. dosent that sound good?" She asked, talking to sweetie if she was a foal.

Scootaloo shook her head once more, still holding her stuffed bunny close. "No, No bed time for me." She stated, still not wanting to fall asleep. When it came to these kind of things, Scootaloo had been known to be pretty stubborn. "Im not going to bed and you cant make me!" The pegasus filly said.

Sweetie sighed a little, it figured that wasn't going to be the case; but none the less she was much more complacent than many other fillies so she accepted what her sister was saying. "Okay Rarity." She said with a deep sigh as she cuddled up in her warm bed. Although the voice her sister used next made her blush a deep red. "R-Rarity, I'm not a foal anymore." She pouted a little but did finally lay her head down on her pillow.

Dash knew Scootaloo didn't want this, but she needed her sleep to properly heal herself, and with so many years of neglect in her wings she certainly needed it. But if she wouldn't go willingly then Dash had to do something she was hoping to keep a secret. "Fine I was going to take you up to the cloud cover to do your stretches tomorrow, but I guess you don't want to fly or see the city." She said, setting the filly down on the floor.

Rarity only smiled, pulling the covers over Sweetie belle, giving the filly a kiss on the forehead and stepping over to the door. "Sweetie, you'll always be my little foal." She said, making sure Sweetie's night lite was on before turning off the light. "Goodnight Sweetie, Momm- Rarity loves you." She said, closing the door. "D-Did I just say mommy?" she asked herself, still standing in front of Sweetie's door. "Must be the sleep getting to me, I guess just one more dress then off to bed." Rarity said to herself, tarting to walk downstairs to go finish working.

Scootaloo started to whine, not wanting to go to bed still. She didnt know what the city looked like so it kinda made her want to go see it. "But Rainbow! I wanna see the city!" She whined, sounding like a filly that wasent getting his/her way. "I dont want to go to bed! But I wanna see the city!" She kept whining, hoping the Rainbow would give in already. "Rainbow Daaaash!"

Sweetie nuzzled her sister, blushing a deep red at the words coming from her mouth. But she couldn't deny that they felt comforting. The soft glow of her nightlight and the blankets that chased away the cold made her eyes start to droop closed ever so slowly. In her mind that partial word registered and she couldn't stop what she said next. "I love you too mama." She said before her mind drifted into the land of peaceful dreams once again.

Dash shook her head swiftly, she may have never been a mother herself, but her father had always dealt with her rebellion two ways, and that was how she was going to deal with Scoots; although the later wasn't something she wanted to do. "Sorry Squirt, but you have to make a choice, you can either stay up or you can go to the city with me tomorrow." She said, standing firm on her thoughts.

(since Sweetie is asleep and Rarity is working on dresses, wanna just focus on Dash and Scoots for a few posts?)

Scootaloo shook her head, still wanting to do both. Scootaloo wasent really one to argue to much but she would usually stick to something if she wanted it. Mostly it would happen when she wanted to do something the girls didnt want to. Eventually they would agree but they wouldn't like it to much,usually getting sour looks from Sweetie Belle and Applebloom. "I wanna do both!" Scootaloo yelled this time

Dash though was just as hard headed as Scootaloo though, and she actually had the filly's best interest in mind. "Choose one or the other Scootaloo, I'm not playing around." She warned, her voice now stern and no nonsense. "Don't make me go get the paddle my dad used on me." She said, now choosing that positives were not going to help, she had to start getting ready to disipline as her father had before her.

Scootaloo shook her head again. "I wanna choose both." She said, still refusing on going to bed. The filly then tilted her head, noticing Dash's tone change a bit. She had never heard
Rainbow sound like this, and frankly she was a little scared. "P-Paddle?" She asked. Scootaloo then took a deep breath, still wanting to stand her ground on this one, even if it was a stupid decision. "I-I want B-both..."

Needless to say Rainbow was getting tired of this, and her anger was starting to override her prior kindness. Scootaloo needed to rest, and this was going to be something she was adamant on. If Scootaloo wanted to see the grand city she would have to sleep. So Dash turned about and opened a chest at the end of the changing table and pulled out a rather well used paddle colored as a rainbow but with three large holes drilled in it's surface. "Scootaloo I will use this. You. Choose. Now." She said before gripping the paddle with her teeth.

The moment Scootaloo saw the paddle, her eyes widened. Yes she did want to stay up and go to the city in the morning but if it meant having to be spanked with a paddle, it wasent really seeming worth it anymore. "F-Fine...I-Ill go to bed." She got out, the paddle itself scaring her. She technically hadent been spanked before and she defiantly didnt want to find out how it felt. "J-Just put it away...."

Dash sighed softly and placed the paddle back in the chest before locking it and making her way towards Scootaloo. She bit her scruff lightly and carried her over to the crib before tucking her in. "There we go that wasn't so hard was it Squirt?" She asked warmly as she raised the bars to the crib. She was glad her old paddle didn't have to be used, it brought back bad memories, and Scootaloo certainly wouldn't have liked it either.
