Cynthia watches this then raises her hand.

"Dragon claw. Deflect and strike" She shouts. Garchomp roars and it's two claws glow blue. It slashes first into the oncoming dragonbreath, dissipating it completely. It then springs forward, crossing the field in an instant and slashing its second claw across Druddigon.

"Zweilous, dodge and try dragon ru-" Iris tries to command, but Zweilous had already been knocked across the field before she could finish. Iris, unshaken, clenched her fist. Her smile was gone, replaced by furious resolve. "Come on, Zweilous! Back up and use dragon rush!"

The Zweilous stumble up and charges at Garchomp, its body encased in a blue energy bubble.

Cynthia holds her ground and points.

"Brick Break!" She shouts. Garchomp stays in placeand rears back, its entire wing glowing. Just as Zweilous comes close, it brings it's attack down on it. Zweilous Dragon Rush field shatters immediately and the Brick Break makes contact, slamming the other pokemon into the ground. When the dust clears, Zweilous is lying on the ground with spiral eyes.

"Zweilous is unable to battle. Garchomp is the winner," Drayden announces, pointing at Cynthia. "The winner is Cynthia."

Cynthia smiles and jumps into the field, walking over to Garchomp.

"Good job, girl," She says scratching the massive dragon's neck.

"Gar...." the massive pokemon smiles and leans into into its trainer's affectionate scratches.

Iris yelps before sighing, lifting up her ultraball.

"You did your best, Zweilous," She says, an air of disappointment in her voice as she recalls him.

Iris reluctantly and half-heartedly sticks her arm out, offering her hand for Cynthia to shake. In spite of all of her aggressive spunk, it seemed as though she both cared for her pokemon and the rules of battling. She'd lost fair and square, and she was going to cop to it.

"Good game," Iris says, breaking up Cynthia and Garchomp's victory scratches, "But... think we can raincheck the 'do-whatever-you-want' thing? I've been preparing for my journey for a really, really long time!"

Cynthia smiles at Iris, returns Garchomp, and accepts the handshake. After said shake, she chuckles at Iris' comment.

"Oh you don't have to worry about that sweetie," she says, stepping closer to Iris and wrapping her arm around her. "See what I want as my reward is to accompany you on your journey."

Drayden smirks and nods as he watches them. He'd been more or less expecting Cynthia would want something like that and he was proud that despite her earlier behavior that Iris was accepting her defeat gracefully.

"Oh!" Iris exclaims, perking up a little bit as she hears Cynthia's offer, "Well, then, of course!"

In that moment, it's clear that Iris was actually intending to keep her word. No further attempts to shirk off responsibility, nor any disappointment that she needed to face the music. It seemed that the flower of sportsmanship was beginning to bud... while arrogance and impatience might need to be pruned.

"So!" Iris says, walking out of the arena with Cynthia, "Do you wanna go down to the station right away, or maybe meet my team first?"

"Oh well I have to go grab some...supplies of my own first," Cynthia says with a smile as she steps to the side, patting Iris on the head. "Why don't you and Drayden head to the train station and I'll meet you there?" She says, before giving Drayden a wink and then hurrying off.

The dragon leader watches the champion leaving and raises an eyebrow. Obviously there were few people he would trust more with his pupil that the famous champion of Sinnoh. Though he knew that she did have a bit of an eccentric side to her, but maybe a bit of that would be good for Iris.

Regardless, soon the two of them are at the train station. Drayden is just about to get them in line t, when they see Cynthia running up and waving.

"Hey, just got my stuff loaded. Oh and don't worry about that, I already got us a cabin for the both of us," she says, gesturing to the ticket booth. "Ready to board, Iris?" Cynthia asks, taking her hand. "After all, there are a few extra details I'd like to discuss with you." She says, the tiniest bit of mischievousness behind her cheerful smile.

"Supplies?" Iris asks, before turning to Drayden, "What do you think she means by that?"

Iris shrugs as she watches Cynthia sashay out of the building. Eventually, she goes to grab her bags and exit the building, walking down to the station to Drayden. When before Iris meets with Cynthia, she turns back to Drayden, smiling and waving.

"Bye-bye, Drayden!" Iris says, "Next time we meet, I'll be champion!"

Iris then looks up to see Cynthia running at her, and her eyes widen as she suddenly stops in front of Iris and ushers them to the booth.

"Extra details?" Iris asks, cocking her head to the side as they walked up to the counter, "Like what?"

Drayden smiles and waves back. While Iris still had more to learn than she was willing to admit, he was very proud of her and knew that she would do well, especially under Cynthia's tutelage.

Cynthia just keeps leading Iris until the two of them are inside their cabin. Naturally she'd gotten them one in first class so it was nice and roomy. Upon entering, they see all of Cynthia's luggage, as well as a couple of large shopping bags.

Upon hearing her question, Cynthia chuckles a bit and goes to sit on one of the cabin's benches.

"Well Iris, let's just say that my reward for winning our match isn't quite over," She says, her demeanor still bright but now becoming a bit more playful. "After all, we agreed that the loser would have to do whatever the winner said, and well....I have a few more rules for our journey together."

Iris follows along, somewhat in awe of the decadence of the train station. Unova's transit systems were a bit flashy for her taste, but she supposes it's better than them being non-functional. As they boarded the cabin, the gaudiness made her gag. She knew it wasn't Cynthia's fault that their cabin was like that, but that didn't keep the way it looked from leaving a bad taste in her mouth.

"Oh," Iris says, sitting down next to Cynthia on the bench, "And... what might those be?"
