Suffice to say, the doctor was no best pleased at being made to worry so unnecessarily; Batman was bad enough when it came to offering medical attention and the last thing he needed today was to think that both him and Superman were so irresponsibly callous about their own physical health.

Still, he attended the man of steel dutifully with as much care as had been offered to young Kon El.

Speaking of whom, was still laying very much dreamlessly the entire time that Clark was being patched up. Only slightly, did the boy begin to stir, and even then it was nothing to do with his state of consciousness. Having been so anxiously twitching at the side of his mouth, the pesky thumb had slowly begun to settle, padding gently against his lip for who knew how many minutes; without Kon awake enough to keep the impulse in check, slowly, it began to creep closer and closer towards his mouth. By the time the Doctor finally finished with the patient father, the young boy had been blissfully suckling at the appendage for quite some time with only the occasional murmur to draw attention to it.


"Alright, you're both free to go," the doctor sounded after another twenty or so minutes, depositing the tools into the medical sink before turning back to face Clark "Don't either of you try and over extend yourselves just yet; dissolvable or not those stitches'll still be a pain to reenforce. Ah...Oh..."

Catching sight of Kon's current condition, the exasperation lingering about the doctor's lips couldn't help but turn towards a smile. Superboy sucking his thumb; that was precious.

"Aw aint that cute...reminds me of my youngest. Little guy just can't settle without his binky or something to nurse on. Why...if it weren't for his size I'd be saying you'e quite the little cutie there, Superman."

Superman tossed his ruined upper shirt in a trash can as it was doing nothing to hide the old future wolf bites and weird giant bug scraps as the blood that was dried had held the cloth from revealing them till the blood was removed to be honest all but the most recent bug scrapes had healed completely with scars which didn't help the doctor be at ease but its common knowledge to the medbay staff on that future trip wounds for they was checked over but still its worrisome as the wounds locations showed recklessness when the fights happened.

Clark looked at the doctors gaze and can't quite say hes that surprised in all honestly ''Well hes only about a month or so away from his first birthday ''Given the doctors reaction Clark blinked''Whats so surprising ? Galatea is a older clone of Kara,so whats so strange of hearing my Son is a younger clone?''

"Well, when you said 'younger' we didn't realise he was that young!" The doctor couldn't help but gasp, unable to help but stare down at the 'teen' upon this new revelation "I mean, well, it makes sense I guess but Galatea always seemed so much...older, or atleast not so...well..."

Motioning uselessly towards the suckling boy a moment, he couldn't quite help feel that all that earlier fuss seemed quite tragic.

"Wait, wait a second!" The doctor suddenly called before Clark could think to make a move towards the door, scrambling off towards a set of cupboards and practically flinging the door open wide "Look, we're legally obligated to order these in for our underage members incase of an extended stay. Haven't had need to use 'em yet, but, well you never know. I usually wouldn't be doing this but, well, considering the stresses faced today..."

Rising from the bottom of the storage unit, the doctor turned back towards Clark and produced what looked to be a package of diapers. These, the trained eye would note, happened to be of the teenaged variety and thanks to the paper-work involved in ordering in medical supplies on the best of days, it was usually just cheaper to order in bulk from the Supermarket. This particular brand happened to be of an absorbent nature, thicker for one and sporting what appeared to be a rather cute motif of teddies dancing across the waist band.

"Consider it a free prescription," The doctor elaborated with a bit of a grin "From one father to another; believe me, the last thing you need when you're trying to rest is an unexpected trip to the drug store."

Clark couldn't help rub his forehead again''I shouldn't be saying this as no offense but after the mole in the worker ranks no worker is that trusted''Clark sighed at what hes about to say'' Well according to Batman ,Cadmus switched there cloning process and no longer age the mind anywhere near to the degrees they did with Galatea and use some telepathic things to teach clones whats needed instead of have them awake at all they stay asleep getting everything sent telepathically meaning else less mature then you'd normally get he was only awakened for medical purposes''

Upon the diapers being presented for Kon Clark blinked''I appreciate your thoughtfulness on the matter,thanks''Clark tucked the package under a arm and carefully so not to disturb Kon picked him up taking Kon to his rarely used room to be there for the time being

Apart from the occasional snuffle from around his thumb, Kon seemed very much out for the count; truth be told the boy hadn't had a decent night's sleep in...well...since his release from Cadmus, so given the opportunity it seemed his body was going to reap this rest for all it was worth.

Despite the slight commotion of the watch tower halls, Kon didn't stir at all on the way to room; merely ended up snuggling himself in such a way against Clark's shoulder that nobody would really have been able to see the thumb-sucking spectacle. That, however, didn't make the sight any less sweeter for some of the other passing members.

Krypto who was trying to get treats from workers and other members stopped upon seeing Clark with Kon and walked to the father son dou good thing they was at Clarks door too as when it was opened one of the more annoying leaguers thats a chatter box had started there way glad the door closed with thr three in and locked it.

Clark once in his room with Krypto's help had Kon covered up and in bed as Clark watches his son

Snuggling under the downy covers, Kon was quick to the warmth of Clark's large and exceedingly plush bed. Naturally, funding from Bruce Wayne always resulted in the best of the best qualities but the young clone was not to know this, nor did his subconscious make the effort to rationalise this; compared to the pods and metal hospital-like beds he'd spent his life squirming on, this room felt safe. It was warm, the mattress was inviting and with the feint scent of his father's cologne tickling at his nostrils, the room felt safe.

For the longest time, all seemed content; Kon made little movement outside of his rhythmic sucking and even then it was only a few twitches of his legs and eyes as he drifted deeper into the depths of sleep.

After about an hour, though, a tiny little squeak began trying to find its way past his thumb...

Krypto went over to Kon rubbing the top of Kons top of the childs head in a manner a human adult would to a child atleast the best a paw can do.

Clark who was keeping a close eye on Kon went to Kon realizing his son was starting to awaken

Krypto may have been well-meaning, but unfortunately for the poor dog Kon was wading too deep in his own mind to realise just what that gesture was, much less what it could have possibly meant.

In any case, the boy wasn't yet close to waking; rather, he was suffering something of a dilemma.
At this exact moment, Kon felt very, very small. All that lay before could see was a long, brightly lit hallway and a gurney that he'd, somehow, been secured to. Off to the side, lay a door which seemed to be bordered by an array of metal trays; while the boy couldn't quite piece why, for some reason, it was absolutely terrifying.

"Mmn...Mnnn...!" he squeaked pitifully up from the covers, thumb having since wrenched itself from the corner of his mouth "Mmm-nnn--no more, no more...!"

Images flashed quickly before his mind; the world span around him as he was pushed, probed and tugged in every way imaginable. The clearest he could make out was a large door with the words "operating theatre" glowing ominously above his cheeks. Kon recognised that room.

Suddenly, he began trying to thrash his limbs out from under Clark's covers, but found himself just too tightly tangled to be able to do any good.

"Help!! Help, Help, Help!!!" he continued to scream from his dream-like state "Somebody!! Daddy! Help!!!"

The sound of a bone-saw screamed in his mind's eye and Kon could do nothing but squeal out in unbridled terror as he saw it come towards him. A strange pressure seemed to suddenly release from what must have been his own tightening gut.

"Help!!"

Clark at the first sighs of a nightmare started to try waking Kon up but thats not seeming to work no matter what Clark tried Kons too deep in the dream like state a deep sleeper it seems.

Still when he heard aswell as noticing the bed getting urinated on he wasn't mad but that shows if Kon commonly has nightmares atleast at night/when asleep his son might need diapered

''Son its just a nightmare! I'll fly in and save you just believe it and it will happen''Clark hoped his message got through to his sons subconscious as so far all the standard attempts to wake someone was failing on his son
