- So you can buy things from home? Can I see how? - she inquired, Mia still having a problem understanding how the Internet worked. She has barely seen computers or phones, and never got to actually try to use one. But then again, being six years old, and an orphan on top, that was no surprise.

- No I didn't. The caretakers said I'm too young anyway, they said I'd need to be able to read. - she explained, as they paid for the toys and left the store.
She pondered for a good few seconds before answering Edward's next question about ice cream.
- I had it once, and it was really good, although I felt like the inside of my head was going to freeze. - apparently she experienced the "brain freeze" on her first try. Then again, she only had ice cream once, that she could recall, so she had nothing to compare it to.

“Yes but there’s still things I can show you.” He said. He went out with Mia and went towards an very nice ice cream parlor. He sat down with her and smiled. “Now. Any flavour you like?” He asked but did show her the card with the colourful images. They had children ice cream of course.

Mia was awestruck seeing the ice cream parlor, and couldn't pick anything at first. What was she supposed to choose?
- Um... um... what's that? - she pointed at something looking a darker pink, which she assumed was strawberry or raspberry. She really had no idea, and she was lost here.

“Oh yes this is raspberry sorbet. It’s very nice. Would you like to try it? Or I can order you a kids cup.” He offered. He already knew what he wanted. “You can taste some of mine too.” He smiled.

- Yes Daddy, I'd like to try it! - she nodded, the girl was still a bit overwhelmed and her proud demeanor vanished. She was always shy in new situations and remembered that she was taught not to be needy in the orphanage. Also, her sense of security out here, despite still having Edward with her, was mostly absent, opposed to the house she already knew.

Edward hugged her close as he sensed her being a bit more nervous. “I’m here sweetie. I just wanted to spoil you a bit and have us have a nice outing before going back home.” He assured. He ordered the ice and smiled at her. “When we’re back home you can choose something you like from the website.”
