Chihiro wasn't sure where she was! The place seemed familiar and filled her with warmth. It felt nice compared to the numb pain in her stomach where she was wounded, badly, a small hole in her body on the right side of her hip! The wound was bleeding, fast, she shouldn't be walking at all! She felt weak, sick, shaky. She remembered chasing after something and going into a warehouse but there wasn't anything!

She was investigating a case, murder, mostly children, teens and a few young adults. It should of been a simple murder case but it wasn't. Something was dreadfully wrong. The bodies weren't just dead! No one could put a name to it. They all had strange markings, horrible ones but they weren't scars or burns! It looked like paint? She had researched so much into the strange markings! Only to discover that they had magical properties and were similar to a poison. Magic. She only knew one place that had magic! And that was the spirit world and there was no way she could get back there unless she died, properly! She had looked for gates but there weren't any.

Chihiro continued to stumble through the forest. Her police uniform torn. She must be hallucinating. She was bleeding, badly! And in so much pain. How could she even walk? Chihiro sat against a tree and looked towards a building. So close yet so far! It looked familiar. She felt cold. Ice. Something was happening to her body.

Her energy was being drained. Her soul was strong but she would disappear in thirty minutes if she wasn't treated! The bullet glowed a bright yellow devouring her soul. Chihiro vision blurred. Was she going to die? Was she already dead? Her head felt foggy and she slumped sidewards onto the dirty grass. Slow shallow breathes escaping her as she closed her eyes and allowed herself to sleep unaware that she was already in the spirit world and had been for at least a few days! Stuck roaming the forest and she had seen faces carved into the wood of the trees of the victims that were killed! The bullet continue to glow brightly like a star. She had twenty minutes left but she was already out of it, completely, with what seemed like no hope. She had no idea what she had been investigation. She had no idea what the bullet truly was. She had no idea where she was. Only people from the spirit world would know the truth and could stop this.

Walking around randomly on break, a woman came across the collapsed woman. Despite not knowing who this was, she did realize that she very clearly needed some help. Gasping a bit, the woman, who was a worker at a nearby bathhouse and named Lin, walked up to Chihiro and looked down at her. There was some kind of faint wound...she was going to need some treatment nearly immediately. Normally she wouldn't be as concerned as she was now, but for some reason she felt an odd attachment to this girl. She didn't have time to dwell on it though, as she picked the unconcious woman up and began to walk towards the bathhouse...

"What a strange woman I've found..." Lin said as she laid Chihiro down on a blanket and put her head on a pillow. She had managed to bandage up the wound, which should have stopped any bleeding from happening. Currently there was no one else in the worker's room with her, the rest either somewhere else working or taking a break.

Chihiro breathed in heavily while she laid on the blanket. The bullet had stopped glowing. Maybe it was Lin's touch? Maybe a touch from another spirit could stop the bullet? She had travelled so long in those woods. Days without seeing another person. Chihiro breathing started to even out under Lin's care and soon enough Chihiro opened her eyes weakly.

She looked at the woman for a moment.

"Fuck?" said Chihiro looking at Lin and sitting up only to wince in pain causing her to go back to her first position, laying down on the blanket, "I really can't believe this," said Chihiro glancing down at her wound, "I got shot," mumbled Chihiro to herself as she got up a lot more carefully this time still wincing at the pain, "uh..." mumbled Chihiro looking at Lin. The other woman looked the same as before but she was an adult now! A police officer, "Hey," said Chihiro, "long time no see, right?" added Chihiro with an awkward grin on her face only to whimper slightly and lay back down. She was still breathing heavily and every part of her was in so much pain! "Doubt you have any painkillers." joked Chihiro finding her body stiff and uncooperative. She felt cold still and shivered while she tried her best to think of something, "At least I'm dead this time." mumbled Chihiro a little still trying her best to find humour in her current state and situation! But she was scared, helpless and weak. Her soul wasn't strong.

This joking attitude seemed to confuse Lin, mostly because she had absolutely no idea as to why she would be acting this way. She got shot! Why wasn't she panicking more? Most of all, she was confused about the long time no see part, as she could swear that she had never seen this woman in let life-err, perhaps life wouldn't be the best word. "I'm sorry, but have we met before? I feel like we may have, but I can't really remember..." she said, trying to think as she looked Chihiro over for any more wounds. "In any case, you seemed to have passed out from your gun wound. For now it would be best if you tried to move as little as possible. I'll tend to you as well as I can, but I can't promise that I'll be able to do everything..."

Chihiro laughed a little at Lin's response only to gasp in pain and whimper. Chihiro nodded a little and stayed still on the blanket. She looked up at the woman before her and smiled a little, "Lin," said Chihiro, softly, her breathing still off, "it's me Chihiro or Sen, I don't really mind which one you use." added Chihiro her voice weak. Chihiro looked away from Lin and up at the ceiling trying to focus on her breathing, "M-my chest hurts," stammered Chihiro, "it's probably bruising nothing serious." added Chihiro lightly, "I feel so weak."

Chihiro looked back at Lin. She hadn't expected to see anyone else or be saved. She felt thirsty, hungry and dirty. Her wound was bandaged now but she had been out in the forest for a couple of days. She felt light headed, "Really hungry." mumbled Chihiro while her stomach grumbled causing her to wince once more in pain.

Gasping in surprise, Lin suddenly recognized this girl and realized why she seemed so familiar. Honestly she was a bit ashamed that she hadn't recognized her sooner, especially after everything that they had went through. "Oh, Chihiro!" she exclaimed as she suddenly became a lot more focused on the well being of this girl. After getting over this shock, she came to her senses and and nodded at what Chihiro had said.

"Hungry? Alright, I'll see what food I can get you...no promises that it'll be good." Lin said as she stood back up and walked towards the door out of the room. "Just...stay here and get some rest until I can come back, alright? And try not to be so loud...it would be bad if others found you."

Chihiro couldn't help grin slightly at Lin. It didn't surprise her that it took Lin this long considering they had only met when she was a kid! And she looked different now! She still looked the same in someways but she was now an adult, a grown up and she didn't have any baby-fat, hell, the only thing that stayed the same was her eye and hair colour! She wasn't as tall as Lin but she wasn't short either!

Chihiro nodded a little. She was in a horrid condition and while Lin's care helped she wasn't sure if she could make it. Her soul was so weak. Chihiro smiled slightly Lin, "Thanks and I don't think I-I'll have much of a problem staying quiet." stated Chihiro her voice in pain while she kept her eyes focused up at the ceiling. She was so hungry. She would eat anything right now or drink anything just to calm her nerves and her stomach!

Lin couldn't help but frown at seeing Chihiro like this. Such a strong girl having grown up just as strong, only to be reduced to this by means outside her control...she needed to move fast, and she knew it. "Alright, I'll be back real soon. I'll be able to get you some water to drink, and I'll attempt to get some food too." she said as she opened the door, glanced one last time at Chihiro, then stepped outside, shutting it behind her. She would need to be sneaky about this, but if everything went well, Chihiro would get some food in no time...she hoped so, at least. "Maybe I can tell someone about her..." she muttered to herself, before shaking the thought away for the moment. "No, not right now. There could be panic..."

Chihiro breathed in and out as she waited trying her best to focus on her breathing. All she needed to do was stay calm. Thankfully her training as a police officer came in handy! After all stressful situations was what she lived for! Hah! Yeah right. She was so going kill whoever did this! And now knowing that she was in the spirit world gave her a little bit of boost in confidence. She was dead but that meant she could ask, ask about the case she was on and the markings she saw! She could maybe stop whatever was going on! But her soul was fading. She really didn't have much strength to carry on. She couldn't help but whimper slightly. She felt cold! Colder then she ever did before! What was happening to her? She felt scared. Some food would help or some water. It would help ground her soul into the world properly.

The other problem that came from being so weak and having no energy was that she had little control over her bladder! Chihiro started to tear up. Her bladder had just released itself and she couldn't do anything! At least she felt a little bit more warm now but that didn't stop her face turning red and a couple of tears falling. What would Lin say? A sharp pain hit her and she couldn't help but let out a small whimper.

Eventually Lin returned, carrying with her a bowl of warm soup, not hot anymore after the time it took to get back, and a few bottles of water, at least enough to last Chihiro through the night. Upon reaching the room the scent of stale urine hit her nose, and she was almost sure that she immediately knew what had happened. This was only confirmed by the wet spot she saw around Chihiro's waist area. "Oh dear...I'll get your clothes washed a bit later." she said, making sure that she chose her words carefully. She didn't want to risk saying anything that would put Chihiro in a worse mood than she already was. After setting down the bottles and the soup, Lin uncovered Chihiro so that she could get to her pants, which she began to slowly slide off. "There has to be something that you can wear until I can manage to clean these up..."
