Detective Conan: Interesting State of Affairs (With SatoPrinny)

"AI!" Ran shouted which made her stop laughing. "What's going on here?"

Ai cleared her throat and began to explain calmly. "Well, you see, when I woke up I stepped out of bed and ended up falling on a bunch of sharp jacks laid out on the floor. Conan-kun here obviously set them up to ensnare me into a trap."

Ran eyed Conan with an intense glare. "Is this true?"

[Sato]

"You literally, had me under your arm until ten seconds ago! You were there!" Conan stomps his foot down as he explains. "

[SDCharm]

Ai quickly interjects. "I fell asleep and you were already in bed. He was alone during that time which means he had ample time to set those jacks up." Ai said, right on the money.

Ran was tired of this though. Being woken up in the middle of the night to deal with this wasn't fun. "Conan-kun... If you're lyring just tell the truth."

[Sato]

Conan looks Ran straight in the face, still trembling from all of Ai's bullying. "Even if my room was messy, she forced me out of it and now she's trying to get me in trouble for it. She's..a brat!" Conan's trembling turned into full-blown shaking as tears began to form in his eyes. It seems Ai wasn't the only one who could convincingly lie to an adult.

Ran saw Conan's face and was surprised by the way he looked. She had never just see him full on resort to tears like this before. Ran looked on puzzled as Ai tapped her foot in disgust at Conan's tactics.

Finally, she spoke up. "Since neither of you have proof that the other isn't lying, how's about we try this." Ran reached over to her dresser and held up a ball on a string. "This is a hypnosis ring. I'll hypnotize both of you into telling the truth and whoever's lying gets doubly punished. How's that sound?"

This was a bit of a gamble of her own. A scare tactic.

Ai fidgeted a bit, wondering if it was legit.

[Sato]

Conan fidgets a little as he looks up at the ring. "I have...nothing to hide." He says, sure he was almost too smart to fall for something like that. "But...how about we double down on the double down~? Why don't you ask Ai about ALL the mean stuff she did to me in the past week. You know..the movie theater. The diapers, getting me in trouble at school.." Conan starts to count on his fingers every single time Ai had humiliated him in the past week alone.

[SDCharm]

Ai turned to Conan. "We could ask him the same stuff. All the times he instigated me into doing it and the time today where he tricked me into this position I'm in."

Ran snarled a bit. "I'll ask you BOTH. Conan, you should confess to anything you've done first since you're the one who wants me to further punish Ai so badly. But if you have nothing to hide then it should turn up negative when I hypnotize you into telling the truth right?"

[Sato]

"Ah.." Ai had hit a nerve there. While it was true that Conan had gotten quite a bit of revenge in the following day, he still couldn't risk Ran stopping now when he was so close to exposing the true villian--rather, mastermind.

"...I..have nothing to hide." Conan says, crossing his arms and scooting behind Ran so Ai can't lunge at him again.

[SDCharm]

"Alright then ." Ran tried to give this a shot and dangled the hypnosis item in front of Conan's face . "You're going to tell the truth now." Ran said, not knowing anything about hypnosis but hoping it'd work out anyway. Ai stood there and scoffed.

[Sato]

Conan shakes his head. "Ai first! She's the offender here!" Conan points to Ai, turning away from the watch.
