Kiyomi bowed to the Innkeeper "Thank you for that, generous one. Now, us two are currently in need of residence..." She began, thinking of their needs, before turning to Miyako "Are you okay now?"

Miyako nods his head and leans on his Mommy. This adventure, he knew, would be one wild ride, but he didn't expect to be bombarded by civilians like that. The innkeeper has a worker show them to their room.

She thanked the worker as they were bought to their room - it wasn’t large, but it is more than enough for them. “Miyako, are you okay? Does your diaper need a change?” Kiyomi asked, acting more like a mother than ever. She set out to unpack the various goods that she had “borrowed” from the shrine.

They are on a divine mission, that's what temple supplies are for. Miyako nods and opens his Kimono to reveal the very soggy state of his diaper. The clothes looked like they could fall through the floor if you dropped them.

She sighs, though not out of exasperation. “Okay, I kind of expected that.I’ll get you cleaned up… that must’ve been comfortable, wasn’t it?” Kiyomi asked. Though, before she actually started changing him, she headed back to find the innkeeper to at least procure some warm water to wash him off.

“Is it any better?” The shrine maiden hopefully asked, in the midst of changing him. She was find doing this for him and all… but it isn’t exactly treated as normal out here. With the surge of power he had demonstrated, she at least had a flicker of hope that he regained a little more control over himself - the drenched garment around his waist wasn’t exactly a good indicator of that, however.

He layed there as he's cleaned and changed. He smiled to her with only the utmost gratitude and compassion. This journey may test the two of them in ways that they never imagined, but they will have to see the flicker of light in the darkness to guide them to an even greater light. Maybe even a divine light.

“There,” She patted the freshly done garment around his waist “Fully dry now.”, before heading to wash off the soaked padding.

She wondered what their next pathway forwards was. They’ve escaped and gotten away from everything else… so what’s next? They can’t be on the run forever - really, even the wealth they had on them right now, it wouldn’t last them over a month. Something has to be done.

While our heroes rest for a while, across the lands there are many threats to our heroes. In a castle, several retainers approach and kneel to an armor clad figure. A retainer speaks "Word travels across the skies that Lord Takeshima has been defeated in combat." The armor clad figure speaks in a muffled, and almost artificial voice "Who has slain him?" To which another retainer answers "He was not slain, neither were most of his men. The individual who brought him down, seemed to be a ronin who struck his opponents without ever directly sending their spirits to the heavens." The armored figure leans forward "Taking on an entire force without reaping a soul you say?.......... Mobilize the forces, we move to subjugate all of the territory of Takeshima, and those that neighbor him. Be ready for a full campaign." The retainers stand and bow "Yes, at once.....Lord Tsukishu." We see the imposing figure of the one who had called for the raid of Miyako's village. What could this war lord be scheming with this sudden campaign?

For now, at least, the time hasn’t arisen to fight yet. The brief reprieve that they had right now was necessary - it was seldom that the war-torn lands got a small moment of peace like this. The defeat of Takeshima signified an clock ticking down, for a new world to take it’s place.

Kiyomi prayed on. Prayed for guidance. Prayed for help and, most of all, Prayed for the boy. She knew forces beyond her recognition were at play, and it was all she could do to keep up with it. As she finished her session, she took a glimpse through the wooden window, the sunset already streaking across the horizon in a flash of red and orange.
